2024 NBA DRAFT THREAD

Post#1 » by Mark_83 » Sun Nov 19, 2023 3:28 am

Raptors don't have a pick unless its in the top 6. We currently hold the 10th spot.

Current top 10 prospects on Tankathon:

1. Ron Holland, SF
2. Isaiah Collier, PG
3. Matas Buzelis, SF/PF
4. Alexandre Sarr, PF/C
5. Justin Edwards, SF
6. Stephon Castle, PG/SG
7. Zaccharie Risacher, SF
8. Izan Almansa, PF
9. Donovan Klingan, C
10. Ja'Kobe Walter, SG

Now, discuss prospects we may or may not be in a position to draft...

I thought the Spurs own our pick from the Yak trade?

This is gonna be a depressing thread. Do we even have our own 2nd rounder or was that given for Yak too?

Gave that up for Gasol. At least that trade in general made sense.

I doubt we can out tank some of those teams.
It is good if you like to do scouting on prospects, but I wouldn't put any expectation in getting any prospect, and people believe this is a weak draft anyway.

If they are below .500 by 20 games in, they need to just tank hard and secure that top 6 pick.

It's probably worthwhile for prospectniks to have a place to discuss players they like for future reference whether or not we actually keep our pick.

The pick is likely to convey. Lot of competition to tank this season.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

if we end up with 7 to 10 worst record and the pick conveys, that would be the worst case of a losing season without the hope of a better prospect for future. My biggest fear is this FO, out of fear of losing their jobs in such a scenario, triples down by selling more FRP

Im predicting we're going to convey this pick while also not making the playoffs. Its going to be a long draft drought.

So far that's a doubtful outcome our SOS was on the higher end in the beginning of the season. It'll most likely have us finishing as a play-in to borderline playoff team.

Spurs are going to surround Wemby with some great young talent. I wish we did the same for Scottie.

Gotta give them credit. Masai and Bobby did an excellent job rebuilding the Spurs

Congratulations Zach Lavine, for the bargain basement price of GTJ, Thad, Boucher, 2 FRPs, and a FRP swap, you are a Toronto Raptor.

Very frustrating that we (likely) don't have a pick this year. It was just a shortsighted move from Masai that makes this year hard to watch

There are a number of lottery players who instantly make us better in my opinion

I haven't watched a lot of footage yet, it's still early, but Collier, Buzelis, Sarr, are all caught my attention over the summer. I've also watched some footage of Stephon Castle and Elmarko Jackson, still havent made up my mind on those two, need to watch more tape

Return to Toronto Raptors
