KG or Mikan?

I have these players right next to each other on my all-time list, and I really struggle to pick one over the other. Mikan had a greater peak by my evaluation, but he played a much shorter career in a weaker league. Who would you rank higher?

IMO you can't discount Mikan's accomplishments. Weaker league sure, but still the best players in the world at the time.

Mikan may have been the most dominant player ever in his prime, though a much weaker league. Heck, if you judge him solely on performance versus peers he may be the GOAT.

Absolutely can't discount George Mikan's accomplishments & he was the best of his era, but you can 100% discount the NBA of the '40s & '50s. If Kevin Garnett was of age in the 1950s he likely would have been on the Harlem Globetrotters & unofficially disallowed in the NBA.

Team Owners at the time were disenchanted in signing black players or players of color & players that were signed to the NBA were unofficially meant to be strictly dirty work guys nothing more. There isn't a strong argument to say that the NBA was the best League in the world at the time due to the social engineering of its League.

'40s & '50s NBA is far too emaciated with talent & too primitive in rules(no shot clock), that it isn't an Era that is worth placing any real value in from cross generational perspective.

I have Mikan top 20 and KG as top 15. If Mikan's prime were a few years longer I'd probably have him top 12 though(maybe as high as 8 or something like that).
