Until this year, I always thought of Sabonis as the main man on Sacramento with his passing, scoring, and gravity and still would over Siakam but Fox is off to a flying start.

The best player? Siakam in a vacuum, Fox in the Kings system.

You need to understand NBA offensive systems, fit, and sample size before you go off and start comparing players. Fox is having the best start of his career while Siakam is having the worst start of his career because the Raptors are implementing a new system.

Just so the other posters know. OxyFox got angry at a trade proposal I made where I suggested the Kings trade Harrison Barnes, Lyles, Monk, and a bunch of picks (2 + swap) that would be in the early to mid 20s.

He said that's too much for Siakam. A former All NBA player and 2nd option on a championship team. One of the best post scorers in the league that's shown an all around game for the most part (minus three point shooting) isn't worth several role players on a middling team that currently does not stand a chance against the powerhouses in the WC.

Do you think someone like Siakam, who has had a Scoring Efficiency well below league average every single year of his entire career outside of 2019 w/Kawhi should be an Offensive no.1 on anyone's team?

It’s Fox’s team. It’d take a clear top ten, generally agreed upon superstar to challenge that.

I never got mad. Let's not continue lying in this thread.
I also never said it's too much for Siakam. Please show me where I said it's too much for Siakam.

Keep the "Gotcha" threads where they belong--in the T&T Board or General Board

So it's not too much but you don't want to give it up because he's an expiring?

I can guarantee the Kings won't be winning a championship this season. Maybe risking a few rotation pieces for a legit playoff piece would be a good idea? Lol

Just checked the stats Thaddy. You're right. Siakam is 35yo, going on 37. Is having the worst season since his 3rd in the league. Think he might be cooked. PasKlay SiakSon. LOL. Turning the ball over more than ever. Can't play as many minutes either anymore (probably due to those old legs). Is a pseudo #1 on a team that can't make the POs in the East and got bested by the Hornets and Bridges while putting together a team worst -9. I guess featuring an old washed up player is the way to go when you're looking for the highest package for them.

My goodness. I was being you. As if that wasn't obvious with the Siakam is 35yo going on 37. Wait, maybe I have that wrong after all, Siakam is 29 going on 25 because as you said he is a #2 on a championship team and an all nba player.
It's just good to know that when Fox and Sabonis are expiring contracts Kings fans can point to 2022-23 and say we want an All NBA player in return for each of them. It doesn't matter what, say, Sabonis is doing in 2027-28, he was an all nba player in 2022-23 so that is his value.
Welcome to the Kings....yet to be drafted guy.
