This proposal doesn't do much for the Spurs in several areas:
1) Keldon Johnson hasn't fallen behind Vassell or Sochan, the three play different positions (Vassell is a SG, Keldon is a SF, Sochan is a PF) and Pop is known for balancing out line ups between starters and backups regardless of who the better player is (Keldon isn't worse than Champagnie by any stretch of the imagination)
2) The Spurs don't need to cash out on Johnson, he's a 24 year old on a 4 year descending deal that is very good value.
3) The Spurs don't need picks in the '24 or '25 drafts, they have up to 2 in the former and up to 5 in the latter.
Personally, I think the Spurs will eventually have to do a consolidation trade with several good players for a star, that's a scenario where I could see Keldon heading out. Otherwise I see no reason to move him, especially for late 1st round picks that are very unlikely to return the same value.

Massive kudos for not suggesting Fournier being French as the main motivator of this trade.
I don't think the Spurs have any interest in trading Keldon. I think looking at Johnson coming off the bench as a pure reflection of his esteem in Pop's eyes is mistaken. Pop fetishizes sixth men since Manu. He leans on that concept as a way to stagger his rotation. I don't think Pop values Champ or maybe even Sochan over Johnson despite them starting.
That said, I don't think it's a bad offer. The last thing the Spurs need are picks in 2024 and 2025, especially those those from likely playoff teams. But it's what the Knicks have to offer, and it's a real package. I just don't see Keldon or the Spurs being on the other side of it for reasons I have mentioned.
