Spencer Dinwiddie not happy at Lakers? "I am in a Reggie Bullock role"

Post#1 » by dygaction » Sat Mar 23, 2024 11:16 pm

He should have signed with Mavs. Kidd is not a great coach but he has at least Dinwiddie's user manual.

I think you missed the point. He’s talking in terms of expectations. He’s playing a limited role while while being expected by everyone to produce like he used to. Doesn’t sound like a complaint, more so explaining the situation he’s in.

Yea, context should be added:

“I feel so sometimes like I’m in a Reggie Bullock role getting graded on a Spencer scale sometimes. Where as on a Reggie Bullock scale I feel like I’m doing really well. On a Spencer scale, obviously, I’m doing [poor]. But like, I’m also not in that Spencer position either, you feel me? I came here understanding some of that was going to happen, right? I’m in good spirits and a good space," said Dinwiddie. "I wish we would’ve won a couple more games that we dropped. But overall, the house isn’t on fire in my mind.

Why do guards come to play with lebron not expecting to be used as a spot-up shooter.

Is that the case?

I get what he's saying. He's a lower usage player now so his stats will reflect that. How you see his answer probably has to do with how the question was asked, whatever that was.

Jesus.

I hope the Mods will adjust the title or lock the thread. This board needs to get out of the habit of encouraging these sensationalized, out of context, subject lines.

Lmao. No **** Sherlock. You’re playing with Lebron James.

Stfu, run to your corner, spot up, and you BETTER hit at least 35% of them or else we’ll sick Windhorst, and Nick Wright on you to jeopardize your career.

I feel for him…it was just bad luck that no team showed interest that also loves to play three guard lineups…

What's the point of pointing to Bullock? Reggie was a solid starter playing 39.3min a game on Mavs WCF run along side him, even more than Spencer's 27.8mpg.

He failed to see what would happen. We discussed this on these boards. He's lowered his own value by being a Laker.

Their locker room must be a joy to be in.

You think the title misleads or what? I was more interested in seeing why he wants to bring up Reggie Bullock, a solid starter teammate playing with him on the only deep playoff run he had. I like Spencer btw.

Makes fun of the team that he had the most success with, then gets benched on the team he chose over them. That's justice.
