With Embid playing like horsehit in game 5 that was our chance to close it up. I don't think Embid will choke like that again and i don't think Maxey will miss key free throws that he usually makes.

Knicks need to jump on them from the start and not take their foot off the gas.

I doubt he changes anything re: lineup and sub patterns. He’s gonna ride DDV, iHart and Mitch for better or worse..

I feel like this is more of a mental toughness game, more than anything else. Bad loss in the previous game...how are the Knicks gonna respond?

9 PM game too...who decides these? Wonder if that's gonna affect the number of Knicks fans that shows up :lol:

it was a bad foul. although, maxey did jump sideways into him and he actually traveled before he shot it. i want to see the 2 minute report :lol:

they should run as much PnR possible with double screen for others than Brunson and attack the basket relentlessly... after that you can also drive and kick because of the space created when they will start to clogg the paint

at the very least he needs to make the deuce/mitch subs earlier if we start slow again.

it definitely will. expect a lot less knicks fans.

game 4 had the most because it was a sunday 1pm game that was scheduled far in advance.

weekday 9pm game? brutal

This is how we could win:

1) Put DDV and iHart on short leashes. If either or both are struggling again within 3-4 mins... yank them early and put them back in later at strategic moments.

2) Let Mitch wear Embiid down most of the game so Embiid is tired by the 4th again.

3) Let Precious finish out the game on Tobias, OG on Embiid, McBride on Maxey. Run the same defense as we had in the 4th quarter of game four. Precious's energy will lead to a lot of great things on both ends. Trust the process.

4) More traps on Maxey to force him to give it up and absolutely take away his air space on threes all game. Force it to the "others". I'll live with Lowry and Tobias shooting more and Maxey less. More Precious means less open three's for Maxey and Embiid. How can Thibs not see this?

5) Run more pick and rolls where Hart receives the pass near the free throw line so he could pass or attack out of that instead of hiding him in the corner.
