Curry more impact in the regular season and more success in the post season. Their "system" is pretty much him. We saw what green was without curry in 2020.

Joker will have better stats and per bc he's a center with the ball in his hands = way more rebounds and. Assists. But curry's asymmetrical offense is a backbreaker against teams. That's why he sat all those 4th quarters in 2016. IMO they would've been almost just as successful if KD never came and they used that money on someone better than a Harrison Barnes who bricked all his open corner 3s vs the cavs.

You think that Jokic has the ball in his hands more than Curry?

Curry has more success in the postseason? By what measure? Rings? I wonder what Jokic would do with a prime Klay Thompson/Draymond Green.... or even a peak Kevin Durant?

Yeah this is Jokic for me, even if I did have to think about it for a bit. Both very impactful obviously, but Curry had a way better supporting cast so hence more of a guarantee of postseason success. Great players with a huge size advantage will almost always impact the game more compared to small guards, no matter how skilled.

Curry moves off ball to create shots for teammates, joker is a point center. Joker will get the assists and rebounds. Both contribute to winning but joker will get more basic stats.

Yes curry has had more success in the post season.
Klay Thompson is bi polar. Killed the okc thunder, sucked vs cavs. In the 2015 finals clinching game he scored 5 points or 0 points forgot.

Draymond green would be useless playing with joker.
Terrible fit.
Like I said the the warriors would've been pretty much just as successful with someone else joining them instead of Durant. Or even just letting Barnes get better. They had a max slot. Curry won in 2022 without KD again with Wiggins as the 2nd best player by then. Yes he's had more success.

Funny that Curry won it just a year before Joker did, where prime Klay and Dray definitely wasn't a thing.
In fact, the three of them had only played a combined 11 minutes or something together since 2019 when they entered that postseason.

I'm a Warriors homer so I'm voting Steph, but I would completely understand anyone who picks Jokić. Just an absolute master of the game and able to impact the team in so many different ways. However prime Steph was pretty much a cheat code where you knew the Warriors always had a chance to win the game.

Curry led a 73 win team, and won 4 titles. Destroyed a team with peak Lebron on the other side, transformed a laughing stock franchise into a juggernaut. Transformed the game while anchoring a dynasty.

Didn't we just have this thread?

But still Jokic for me due to his lower ceiling and ability to mesh with more units. At their best...it's Curry though.

A bit unfair comparison.
Curry is probably the most impactful player in the history of the game.

I think Jokic honestly, and I love Steph. Curry has had much better teammates throughout his career so I'm not going to purely attribute his greater level of success to Steph's individual impact.

Definitely not. I don't know why "impact" is sometimes put into this different category than who the best player is, as if you can be not as good as the best player in the NBA but somehow more impactful.

They are pretty much the same thing. The most impactful player in NBA history was Michael Jordan because he was the best player in NBA history. At #2 I'd put Lebron, and then keep going down the list mirroring the best players ever with the most impactful players ever.

If Steph Curry was more impactful (by which we mean positively impactful on winning basketball games) than Michael Jordan, he would be the GOAT.

Definitely Jokić. Curry’s played with several HoF players at their peaks. Jokić’s best teammate hasn’t come close to making an All-Star team.

There’s just no way he loses in 2016 with the OP squad that Steph had.
Also, something that might surprise people. I think when it comes to athleticism, agility, physical attributes and skill I rate LeBron only in the top 50.

Curry
Murray
MPJ
Gordon
Deandre

…that team isn’t winning anything.

I don't agree with this simply because i define impact differently.
Curry is the reason the game has changed in the last decade. All this talk about stretching the floor, spacing, shooting.
He even affected the way we want bigs to play.

Jordan didn't do that. Neither LeBron or anyone else.

We just saw jokic flame out of the second round with an all time team around him. Curry has choked, but he saved it for the finals at least.
