I'm curious to hear how you all interpret this data. My interpretation of the data is the Celtics usually win when they force him off the 3 point line and make him hit contested twos. If he gets loose from three point range the Mavs probably win. The Celtics gamelan should be running this guy off the 3 point line as much as possible.
It's also obvious to me that he's way more aggressive playing on the road than at home. If we can keep him off the 3 point line for these 2 home games we probably win the series.

Definitely a great player but it looks like his huge outbursts only hurt the Celtics "sometimes." They've been able to withstand some of his crazy haymaker games. It's also interesting that for such a great scorer his career high against us is only 42 points and that only happened once.

Re: Luka Doncic Career Stats vs Celtics
I love how Dallas fans talk about the 16-4 record to end the season ignoring the 3 losses to Boston, Philly and Indiana that directly preceded the run as if they never happened. They were probably the only other 3 playoff teams they played after the big trade other than the 2 losses to OKC and 2 wins against Miami included in that run.
In the loss to Boston, Luka shot 14-27 with 37 pts, 12 reb and 11 assists and Dallas was blown out. That is the only matchup ever between these 2 rosters with all players healthy. Luka also had 39/11/10 in the 20 pt blowout loss to Indiana. BTW, their elite defensive players managed to contain Nembhard who only shot 100% from field and 100% from 3.
I don’t take Luka and this team lightly because they are on a roll and have beat 3 really good Western conference teams in the Clippers, OKC and Minny. In fact, I think they have a great chance to steal game 1 in Boston. That said, the Celtics have 5 starters that can drop 25 points and Dallas has 2.

"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

Non-rim twos with some level of contest is what they will want to give up that’s for sure.

Re: Luka Doncic Career Stats vs Celtics
Luka is a load. Gonna score a lot of points in this series.
That said, two weeks ago there were multiple threads on the GB about how Luka was playing like ass all postseason. Now he's a god from the heavens who is about to humiliate all of our players and their families.
Excited for the games to start.

His game is very simple when I watch it. He either wants to get into a step back three, a step back two, a short floater, or he's passing it. He's big and strong and can usually do any of these things when he wants to but it doesn't exactly strike fear. A guy who struck fear was Kobe because you just had no idea what he was going to do. Luka is a very effective scorer but he's not the type of scorer that keeps you up at night imo. He's going to get his points off of step backs and free throws but that's pretty much it.
Lukas game very much reminds me of prime James Harden.
