Juan Soto Plans To Address Contract \'In The Offseason\'

The expectation remains that Juan Soto will enter free agency this offseason.

Soto will be the top free agent on the market. New York Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner left open the possibility of a midseason extension last month, but the superstar appeared to squash that on Tuesday night.

Soto was asked if he expected the New York Mets to be involved in the bidding, replying \"we will see. In the offseason we will figure it out. I\'ll let [agent Scott Boras] do his thing. We\'re going to see.\"

He famously declined a 14-year, $440 million extension offer from the Nationals before Washington traded him in 2022.

I’m still really iffy on going 100% with Soto on my Yankees. He really seems to be setting up Yankees fans for a big heartbreak when the season ends.. For a player to act like (in his phrases to the media) it’s Scott Boras doing his free agency deals is ridiculous, since it’s Soto who tells his agent what he wants and where he wants to play. Not his agent tells his client where he wants to play… Save me all the bullshiiiiii… Soto… Are you a Yankee or not after this season?
