Meh.......

I already hate how Castle dribbles. Carries it on every bounce and way too far away from his body. Thats going to stolen countless times

I dont understand why Bouyea is on the roster. We have already seen enough of him to know exactly what he is.

Idk you think he was that bad?

From my one game assessment, I really liked how active he was in the paint in terms of searching for rebounds. I really saw high potential in his help defense as he was great at times at reaching in for some steals or also a chasedown block that he ended up missing.

I'm not as sure about his man defense. He seemed to struggle against guys who have a quick first step and several times he had some strange switches where he didn't even chase the guy (though he may have been coached this way for our defense).

I also though he was really good about getting past guys and making some sneaky dimes (should have had around 3 more but guys couldn't finish easy/open shots).

Unfortunately after he gets past guys, he has pretty poor touch by the basket or in that Tony Parker teardrop range. You can definitely see the skill though...just needs quite a bit of coaching

One last thing is he seems to have some weird leg form on his shots and I think shoots more with his arms, which leaves a lot of his shots short. That will have to change if he wants to be a better shooter

Yeah I get gump's point about some aspects of his dribbling but at several other times it was actually tighter and he used it well to get past his man.

He's tiers ahead of other PG's we've drafted before in how he can get into the paint, how he uses P&Rs and screens, how he sees the court. He has a more compact style of play but also isn't in love with his own style, gets others involved well. Better 3s shot than I thought. He's physical on drives and can finish with either hand.

Has a competitive edge you can't reach.

Man D was ok to good.

Again, it's all just one game with players that are all frankly worse than him.

We've got a good one.

Im not saying I hate him or anything. He is obviously the most talented player on that roster. I guess I needed him to stick out a little more or show some fundamentals at least. I was hoping a player coached by a Hurley would at least have that.

But the Spurs propaganda saying it was an "impressive" performance are stretching it a lot.
