Because obviously we should grab some random player who went undrafted and also no one wanted on a two-way.

I don't think people realize how far down the prospects list you got to go nowadays with each team having 3 two-ways a piece.

He was always coming back. It was telling that every player that went on the podium at the end of season presser brought him up unprompted. I think he'll eventually join the coaching staff, but for now they need a guy like him in the locker room.
