I would be awesome Managing Director. I can implement some tWo policies.
I acknowledge and thank the lək̓ʷəŋən peoples of the Songhees, Esquimalt and W̱SÁNEĆ First Nations for allowing me to live, work and play on their unceded traditional territories.

Not surprised about this part, they definitely won't be hiring a white male for the role
We would like to thank all applicants but regret that we are only able to personally contact those individuals whose backgrounds best match the requirements for the role.

I think that this:
The ideal candidate will be passionate about empowering youth through sport. They are energized by engaging with communities locally and internationally. They have demonstrated experience leading a not-for-profit organization with ties to the continent, would be considered a strong asset. They are a genuine, innovative, empathetic, and diplomatic leader who can execute against short and long-term strategic goals.
is probably more important than race and gender alone.

Most likely because there are very few white men who would be well suited for this role. I'm sure they won't turn away an absolute superstar applicant just for being a white male. It's far more likely that a white male superstar for this role simply doesn't exist.

Rofl. That first paragraph sounds more like exclusion, not inclusion.
Ouch.

Always love those who complain when there is a role for black people (for a **** African based NPO), but are silent when it comes to the other 99% of jobs that favour white people.

I've applied. I listed you as a reference. You are going to vouch for me, my commitment to the community, my tact as a leader, and my worldwide recognized rizz.

From the Big House to the White House (somewhere in Africa). Clay Davis is going to the top. I hope you're a big believer in cronyism because I'll be looking to get an executive position once I've helped install you as the top dog.

What does the position pay?

Clearly defense is the difference between winning and losing for this team.

Re: Giants of Africa - Managing Director
That's the Header for a paragraph that followed outlining that the hiring practices will follow Canadian regulations on not having their process by exclusionary or discriminatory.SFour wrote:Not surprised about this part, they definitely won't be hiring a white male for the roleWe would like to thank all applicants but regret that we are only able to personally contact those individuals whose backgrounds best match the requirements for the role.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
The first paragraph is clearly in regards to the general qualifications of the position. When they get 2,000 applications they won't have time to personally contact every schmuck that applies because they like basketball.
All of this is boilerplate HR job posting language. None of it at any point implies anything about excluding any race or gender. But you made sure to clip this section and following Header to eliminate any context and create a false narrative.
So kudos, I guess

A continent ravaged by colonialism, a job meant to help connect sport with economic revitalization and people are complaining a white guy might not be hired?

Re: Giants of Africa - Managing Director
The funny thing is that for many years, lots of Jobs and Companies wanted specific people to fill roles. "Italians Only" or "Chinese Speaking Preferred" or "Indian Male needed". It only became a problem when some rich white men (Elon) of the 1% suddenly felt it was a "left problem", and started speaking out, using their own agendas and beliefs to combust politically what always existed.
