Aleksej Pokusevski To Sign With Partizan

Aleksej Pokusevski is set to join Partizan in Serbia for the upcoming season. Pokusevski split last season between the Oklahoma City Thunder and the Charlotte Hornets.

In 150 games over three-plus seasons with the Thunder, Pokusevski averaged 7.5 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. The 7-foot big man was waived in late-February and signed with the Hornets to finish last season. The Hornets waived Pokusevski from a non-guaranteed deal earlier this offseason.

Pokusevski now returns to his native Serbia for the stop in his career. Partizan also added former NBA players Frank Ntilikina, Carlik Jones, Iffe Lundberg and Duane Washington Jr. this offseason.

I never had a real chance to see this guy play. Was he just not a fit in today's game?

He was just wildly inconsistent… he would do something that made him look like Nowitzki one moment. The next he was shooting fade away three pointers over 3 defenders. Seemed like he lacked the ability to cut lol

Obviously he was wildly inconsistent but I've seen way worse in terms of prospects at that age. The nba ain't plating no more and in a way I'm happy. Too many of these projects just taking up space. You got vets that can't find deals while watching some kid struggle to even look like an nba player.

However that's a generality. In Poks case the potential was so vast if he could ever put things together. I'm surprised another rebuilding team wouldn't pick him up. He was still pretty young with that unique skillset
