Vince had a close peak to McGrady even though Vince played more in a team system and McGrady played for himself when putting up top 4 MVP numbers.

Vince had the much lnger career.

If Vince didnt get into a fight with Toronto management and get traded away he would be considered a top 5 alltime SG..right there with guys like Wade.

McGrady has said he wishes he could go back and re-do that decision to leave.

That 99-00 offseason was really bad for Toronto. Losing Mcgrady and Losing Christie

Imagine that team stayed together and in 2001-02 season was putting out

Only a Raptor fan would ever say this.

Wade and Vince don’t belong in the same sentence, not even close.

Oh no I read what you wrote. Again, only something a Raptor fan would ever say. Baseless fan fiction.

McGrady by a lot. Look at the all nbas and the PER. Carter was constantly getting hurt in his prime. There's a reason Vince's nickname was 'Half man, half a season' while TMac was on that Kobe level.

It's definitely McGrady - and I've always been extra low on McGrady.

I voted "by a little," but whether it's a little or a lot, it's definitely McGrady.

Look at it this way:

2 extra First Teams
2 extra Second Teams
1 extra Third Team

That's practically a HoFer's difference between them.

Kinda surprised Vince only made 2 All-NBA teams. Looking at their individual accomplishments I'd go with McGrady. More All-NBA nods, 2x scoring champ, and closer to an MVP than Carter ever was

McGrady was a better player but Vince was a better team player. I'm still surprised he came from being known as a Half Man Half a Season to being in the league for 21 years. It's damn astonishing how he pivoted.

52% TS is really low for a guy who's primary value is giving you scoring. I wonder if T Mac's career would've worked out if he focused more on defence or being more of a playmaker/all around player.

Vince's TS% wasn't much better. It was an inefficient era for scoring in general. They look about the same in TS% added over their peak years.

It's also notable that TMac had an exceptionally low turnover rate for a guy at his USG. Vince's turnover rate was pretty good too, but not quite as good as TMac's.

Vince had a sub 50 TS% in his last 100 games with the raptors, this is while being a solid three and free throw guy and having the best athleticism in the league. It beggars belief.

The lack of playoff progression affects Tmac's legacy and puts them pretty close together, peak vs peak its Tmac but the gradual decline in Vince's peak allowed him to still be a contributor in Dallas/Orlando/Memphis whereas once Tmac was done he was done.
