On a night when Shohei Ohtani stole the show, the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched their 12th straight playoff berth.
It extends the longest postseason streak in franchise history.
The Dodgers still hope to win their 11th National League West title in 12 seasons. They hold a four-game lead over the San Diego Padres in the division.
Shohei Ohtani hit three home runs and stole two bases on Thursday night to become the first member of the 50/50 club.
\"Obviously, I changed teams this year and my goal has always been to make it to the playoffs,\" Ohtani said through interpreter Will Ireton. \"It\'s something that I\'ve really worked hard for and I\'m really happy to be able to make it\"
\"Now my goal is to be able to perform well in playoff situations.\"
