2024-25 Bulls: Bold Predictions

Post#1 » by ScrantonBulls » Fri Oct 4, 2024 1:32 am

Thread for bold predictions for the 2024-25 Bulls, so we can bump it when our respective bold predictions come to fruition.

Ayo Donsunmu will take a big step next season and will average over 17 PPG, 2+ 3P per game with above average defense. He'll be in the conversation for our best player due to his efficiency and defense.

Is it bold to predict we are in the running for the worst record in the NBA?

Yes, because nobody knows how to **** up a tank and win meaningless games like the Bulls organization.

Still a bit too much talent on the roster to expect them to drop to bottom in the league. DeRozan and Caruso gone only means more usage for ayo and Coby. Then you have ball and lavine back with production. I can see a scenario where half the east is tanking and we still winning games lol

I still predict 41 wins and a play in game.

A bit yes. Vegas only has us losing around 10 more games this season. Pretty much below play-in and above bottom teams who will get a good shot at the top 4 picks. Basically the worst position to be in the NBA.

1 of 4 things with Lavine:
A) Gets injured "rehabbing his value" and we can't move him
B) Someone gets desperate and trades "crap" for him -> I'm looking at you LA
C) Actually plays well, but AKME thinks that means playoffs and "we just need one more year together"
D) Even after "rehabbing his value" not a soul wants him which forces us to move on from one of Ayo or Coby

Beyond that:
End of the year line-up to finish out season will be Ayo-Coby-Giddey-Buzelis-Smith (Williams either benched or hurt)
Donvan fired by Thanksgiving after a 2-11 start
Embrace the rebuild right around the Christmas time - we'll be 7-22 at that time, by the deadline we'll be 14-36 and waving the flag

I think more low/mid 30ish on wins...

Also wanted to give a shoutout to Smith who gives us an alternative at the 4 that is actually tall and has some game. I'll miss drum but I'm hoping he just doesn't end up stuck at the 5 with mostly minimal time like drum because he's more versatile and can play 4/5.

Buzelis is better than Williams by the end of the season.

Disclaimer: I dislike Pat Williams as much as just about any poster here so it's not as bold as it would be coming from a less biased poster.

Bulls did not end up with the worst record of the NBA but they end up with the #1 pick. They'll end up with "Colonel" Flagg.

Bottom 3 in the East and bottom 5 overall.

I don’t think this team is constructed to win at all, and the defense is going to be horrific. The top end talent is weak and there is actually little in the way of quality bench depth if any starters get injured.

The 4 highest paid players have zero trade value. Let that sink in.

We win the lottery and AK drafts a toolsy 3&D guy like Patrick Williams or Dalen Terry #1.

The organization is so stupid and so full of garbage ass players that they mught unintentionally tank. I know you think this is a championship squad though.

Your reasoned response has persuaded me. This team is now awful.
