Ruben Amorim was scheduled to have his first day of training with Manchester United on Monday, but he has yet to be granted a visa.
Amorim will travel to the club on Monday to begin his tenure but, while United expect the visa to be granted soon, it is unclear what duties Amorim can undertake until this occurs.
Many of United\'s players will be away on international duty, minimizing the impact of the visa delay. United expects the matter to be resolved shortly.
“It’s going to be difficult, I’m not under any illusions,” he said. “I feel ready for the new challenge. I’m not naive, I know it’s going to be very different, very difficult. I’m at peace now, I can focus on my new job and I’m looking forward to starting tomorrow.”
