The Colorado Rockies are open to the idea of trading second baseman Brendan Rogers and right-hander Justin Lawrence, according to a report.
The news is notable because as of late the Rockies have generally had a relatively low willingness to make their players available.
Rodgers is entering his final season of club control and hasn\'t established himself as a core player despite being a former No. 3 overall pick and Top 100 prospect. He made $3.2 million last season.
Lawrence still has four years of club control remaining, making him a more attractive trade target. The 29-year-old pitched to a 6.49 ERA over 59 2/3 innings this past season.
