My own opinion, obviously...but this Indy court is butt-ugly. Hard to look at, honestly.

Scoot has looked pretty good so far

Deni doing Deni things

Not sure I believe POR shooting can continue at this rate

IND looks very unimpressive. How did they make a run in LY playoffs?

Dumb shot by Banton, just b/c you make a couple of open 3pt shots, doesn’t mean you should be shooting from the logo, and then he follows it up with an absolutely horrible turnover

IND is one of the most unimpressive teams I have seen this year, Carlisle calls time out, he looks pissed!

Camara’s aggressive style of D is going to cause him to be in foul trouble a lot, probably why he is best as a player coming off the bench

Scoot with several good assists (5) in this game so far

Is Myles Turner supposed to be good?

Scoot hitting 3’s tonight (2-2), playing in the flow of the game, much better than when he is trying to force something to happen

POR passing is lazy way too often

Great pass by Halliburton

Bad 3pt attempt by Scoot there, but what the hell was that offensive possession? Just everybody standing around, looking at Scoot to do something

Game tied at halftime, however, with the way IND has played, it feels like POR should be up by a fair amount, but they are not

Mathurin (#6) outplaying Sharpe (#7) so far

Sharpe settles for too many lazy possessions, needs to be more assertive

Simons looks back to form, time to trade him, sooner rather than later

Great drive by Avdija but, he can’t finish the dunk

Walker on Turner is not a good matchup

Walker is awful, Stone hands on a great pass by Scoot, then a bad turnover, then blocked on a drive, bad shot leads to easy fast break score by IND, then offensive foul to negate 3 by Simons

Mathurin on fire

IND on a run, now up by 9

Simons is best when he is not trying to force shots, when he just plays within the flow of the offense he can be deadly. This is why I think he has positive value to playoff teams, who will utilize him in the right way

IND hitting outside shots, POR outside of Simons is not, seems like a common occurrence?

Simons back in, Billups, trying to keep POR in this game before it gets out of hand

I like Avdija, I like his all-around game, however, I do not understand why POR paid the steep price to get him, when he is pretty much a complementary player? He’s a good complementary player, but nonetheless, that is what he is after 5 years, which makes no sense to me given that this team does not have a premier player yet, so why spend all those assets on such a player?

Walton1...yeah, the whole offense is a bunch of players standing around. I'm going to count possessions in the 4th with offball movement.

So far, I haven't counted a single one...every half court set has started with a high pick and the pick setter is the only player that moves. Everyone else just stands around.

Luckily, the Blazers have had a couple of transition opportunities...

Sharpe & Banton need to stop playing together, they are a bad combination of bad decisions

Furphy, whom I like, is just getting abused on defense

Scoot with another 3, 3-3

Avdija has a lot of nice little moves in the post to get easy looks but then inexplicably misses them, it’s really weird, he should be converting on way more of those opportunities.

Mathurin having himself a game

Ayton with a nice defensive play, got to call them when you see them

Getting down to crunch time, and IND best players, Halliburton/Siakam are making plays, and POR best players Simons?/Sharpe? are not. This is the critical piece missing for this team.

Perfect example there, of Simons trying to do too much, he goes 1v1, hoists up a terrible 3pt shot that leads to an easy fast break for IND

Then he misses another tough runner, he is not a go to/1v1 scorer, you would think Billups would know that by now

Scoot to Avdija to Simons for wide open 3, he misses but that ball movement was good

Wow, Simons completely bailed out there by refs, ball don’t lie

That looked like double dribble Halliburton

Nice drive by Scoot, then good D on the inbound, fouled 2 FT incoming

As Schonley was fond of saying
“ You gotta make your free throws”.

Simons had a great 3rd Q then decided he was Kobe in the last 5 minutes. ISO dribble-fests on possession after possession while his teammates stood and watched. Billups needs to be a real coach and stop that shiz. Can you imagine what Popovich would have done if Simons had done that on Pop's team?

might have been Scoot's best game of the season. 9 assts and only 1 turnover. He needs to fix his FT stroke though. I still believe the key for hime is to develop his left hand. Not sure I've ever seen a player with that weak of an off hand
