LAC coming out with some intensity, POR coming out flat

Sharpe is only 21, so still time to grow, not so sure though that he is a #1 type of player

Bad TO by Sharpe, he also needs to work on his decision making

Powell starting off hot

Avdija with a 3

Simons is such Fool’s gold, just hope some other team buys into it

This is the problem I have with Billups like what is the plan of attack versus LAC? It seems like he has none?

Avdija another 3!

Ayton is so lazy on defense, allows Zubac to get the rebound, fouled

LAC hot from 3

Camara, latest victim to Harden’s antics

Crap, Deni injured, looks like he’s OK

Avdija 3rd 3!

What was that Banton?

I would hate to have Harden on my team, such a frustrating player to watch

I think Sharpe could be a really good #2, playing off a distributing #1 or other players who feed him to finish (Avdija?). I just don’t think he has the “it” factor to be a closer for a team.

Nice pocket pass by Avdija. Blazer announcers talking about Walker, but it’s totally Avdija who made him look good?

If POR has to cut players it is clear who is #1-2 on that list: Reath & Walker

Avdija looked pissed there, no defensive help on that drive by Powell

Avdija on fire tonight

Way to defend Simons (sarcasm)

Bad week side defense by Sharpe there, followed by worse transition defense x 2

This team would be a lot more fun to watch if Ant/Grant/Ayton were off this team and you could just watch\enjoy the young guys play and still lose and make sure you are getting a top 25’ pick?

WTF was Cronin thinking?

lol, Banton you are not getting that call against Harden as ridiculous as that move was

Grant decided to play tonight

Sharpe's effort level really concerns me, he has all the talent in the world but just cruises lazily out there most of the time. Ya would think at 21 and missing a lot of time he'd be "hungry"? If he had Den's or Camara's fire he be awesome

Does Cronin even watch the games? I see him at home games, I just cannot understand how he can’t see that the young guys are playing better than the “big 3” and not want to deal them as fast as he can before they lose any more value? It is bizarre.

Nice move by Camara there, his offense is really improving

Another bad pass by Sharpe, followed by lazy defense by Ayton

Good pass by Avdija to Ayton the interior for easy score

Avdija as point forward is the way, then he turns it over, lol

Is Batum spent? Sure seems so.

Camara’s outside shooting is improving

Walker back in, why? I guess he is better than Reath?

Wow a DJ Jr mention, I forgot he was even on the LAC roster/floor, pretty much sums up his career in POR, never really liked him

Can we trade Banton and Sharpe to TOR for Gradey Dick and a future first?

Harden doing Harden things

Dylan Harper might be a great fit in Portland if Portland earns themselves a top 3 pick and misses out on

Seriously, how much better is Sharpe than Gary Trent Jr, at least right now?

Banton misses Sharpe on easy cut, then dribbles around for several seconds and passes it for a rush shot with less than 2s on the clock, dumb

POR down by 21, surprised when I saw that

This is one of those games when Sharpe just disappears, can’t be a #1 and then have games like this, and it is not just a one off game but several games like this

Is Simons playing tonight? Powell\LAC certainly are.

Coffey hits a 3, I think this game is over

$25mil man Simons 7pts, 2-11. So unimpressive

$30+ mil man, Grant w\ 12pts. money well spent Joe.

And Chauncey waves the white flag with POR down by 23

I don’t think POR is going to get the 50+ point differential to make the NBA cup? Big surprise.

Banton with a pass into press row, TO

Well, game over

It would be fantastic for Sharpe to be a #1. But I'm okay with him rounding into a Jaylen Brown type guy. Which I think he's alon a good track to do.

Happy for the loss. I wasn’t stoked on the Blazers possibly making the playin and then being potentially tricked into rooting for wins.

The Clips beat the Blazers in literally every single category, including +27 points on 3pt differential.

Weird seeing fairly efficient offensive nights from a few players not named Simons, and still have a huge loss. Pretty much every Blazer kinda sucked.

Ayton gave off some pretty strong "Charmin" vibes tonight.

I guess the Blazers have another 3/4 of a season to see what Sharpe is really made of, because right now his poor decision making and wallflower play style not only make him a non-"cornerstone", they make him replaceable in the 2025 draft. I guess the Blazers can wait around 4 more years till Sharpe's prime years to get rid of him though.

Those guys like Sharpe are the classic more ability than plays types of guys.

Hopefully the 2025 draft which is loaded with SG's will allow Portland to draft a potential
replacement, so they won't have to offer Sharpe a max extension for the same questions
that dogged SS at Kentucky still apply in 2024 for he was a guy whom the scouts wondered
how badly he wanted to play. Very famously sat out his year at Kentucky unlike Kyrie who
became the #1 pick after he came back from injury to play in the NCAA tournament
