Teams who are below the luxury tax this season currently project to receive $19 million apiece in distribution, reports ESPN's Bobby Marks.
The New Orleans Pelicans are only $1.4 million over the luxury tax and are widely expected to drop below it to receive that payment. The Pelicans have never paid the luxury tax.
With injuries to essentially their entire rotation, the Pelicans have had a disappointing season.
