I actually do agree with this take.

Inside does trash a lot of players and teams, mostly over winning rings. Having a title is a lot more important now than it used to be. I do think Inside played a large role in building the ring culture that makes players switch teams so much and I also think it has lead to more teams tanking. Of course they aren't solely responsible, but I think they played a role.

Don't get me wrong, it's an entertaining show, it's done a lot for the sport and they've even spawned similar style shows, but the criticism is valid.

I don't know who Jason McIntyre is but I've gotta agree for the most part. Everyone loves that show despite it being objectively awful.

You've got Chuck winning multiple Sports Emmys for Outstanding Studio Analyst, despite him frequently bragging that he does not watch NBA games. You've got Shaq mumbling and dragging people over personal beefs. Then 30 minutes of bickering and insulting each other. The whole thing is about being the loudest dummy instead of basketball.

ESPN is the same or worse, but imo Inside the NBA ushered in this era of terrible NBA coverage. And trained fans to view the game the same way.

LOL they have kept/brought many more eyeballs to the NBA. While they tend to ramble, a lot of what they say is what most others complain about anyways. They just don't scare away from doing it in the limelight and do so in a humorous way.

Most rational people will agree that it's Silver catering to the players in every way that has turned people off from the NBA. From Load Management to rule changes and getting scared any time a star player bitches. Dude has no spine so look at him for blame instead of an award winning show recognized as the best sports show out there.

Idc what anyone says, show became wack once Shaq joined the crew. I don’t find him funny at all. Even his interactions with Chuck. He just comes off as sensitive, insecure, and a big ole bully/hater. He brought most of that ‘rangzzz’ nonsense too.

C-Webb was soooo much better.

I'm guessing you weren't around before Inside the NBA. Barkley/Malone/Ewing/Stockton/Dominique etc were ALWAYS killed for not having rings. Inside the NBA didn't do that.

Everyone has their opinion and I get it, but Inside the nba has brought more eyeballs to the game historically than all other sport shows combined. That alone more than counter balances any lil annoying things they do.

I agree. Non stop clickbait **** and zero real basketball analysis. I would rather watch a professional broadcast.

Took the words right out of my mouth.

It's a funny show but it's garbage tier when it comes to actually discussing basketball in any meaningful or insightful way. They all speak in tired cliches and it's very obvious they don't actually watch a lot of NBA games. Why everyone was so upset this show was supposedly going to be cancelled next year is beyond me. They jumped the shark years ago

Disagree. Isn't the NBA entertainment? Inside the NBA provides entertainment and brings in viewers that don't normally watch basketball. Its a game guys.

Inside the NBA is an entertainment show, it's not designed to be a serious talk NBA show and it largely reaches the objective of being entertaining as evidenced by all the awards it has won over decades and the big following it has.

Exactly. Way too many nerds here that just want to watch guys talk about stats and analytics all day, who cares. Just enjoy it for what it is. Most ppl can't even watch inside the NBA because of the times it comes on. I used to love watching it because literally every show i was laughing and enjoying it. IDk how guys just want to here about statistics all day it bores me and reminds me of accounting classes . Just watch your favorite podcast instead, there's thousands of them.

Definitely agree and would say ESPN has done just as much damage, if not more. The coverage is atrocious.

I'm hoping that NBC and Amazon can begin to turn the tide.

NFL studio crews are always 4 retiree knuckleheads yelling into the mic about "that's a real Football play" so why is Inside so bad? :x
