Hawks Would Like To Trade Clint Capela By Trade Deadline

The Atlanta Hawks would like to trade Clint Capela by the trade deadline, sources tell Jake Fischer. Capela is on a $22.4 million expiring contract and is not considered likely to be re-signed by the Hawks. The Hawks are confident Onyeka Okongwu will be able to take over starting duties long-term.

Capela is averaging 10.0 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists in 23.0 minutes over 27 games in his 30-year-old season.

Capela is represented by Darren Matsubara and Jason Ranne.

Surprised he's only 30 because it feels like he's been around forever. But maybe I'm blending him with Theo Ratliff or others in my hazy memory banks

LOL Theo Ratliff was literally the first person I thought of, though Clint is a much bigger player.
