Keegan and Huerter are available tonight but Lyles remains out. Got the first of two straight at home against the Lakers tonight, at this point we need every win we can get.
Also, this jersey matchup is taking me back..

Good game so far…
I go back and forth on caring about losing with our pick in this draft.. if we are treadmill, and it’s entertaining, how much does winning matter? Although we still have to react to the roster accordingly
Bang head with Keegan/Fox as always…
Keon has looked better off the bench recently. Still not built for the pop role, but he’s working out there

Fox might need to be moved soon to clear the air, on both sides, and before he tanks his value further

If you trade Fox then Sabonis would be the next to go because at that point, you're rebuilding.

I don’t know.. Monk and Carter can get at it… possibly.. Monk is the teams PG at this point.. and I hope you’d be getting talent back in a Fox trade
But this also comes back to our differing perceptions on Fox… I think given non league average ts% and subpar D metrics that his game is “underwater”. But I think you see more of a hole if he leaves

Fox is right above the league average TS% this season and has defensive metrics that are all on the plus side. DBPM is the only thing that doesn't like him but that's a pretty dated metric, things like Defensive EPM and D-LEBRON stats all have him as a solid defender. And either way, his metrics are better than Monk's too, the eye test and just watching games also show Fox is clearly a much better defender than Monk. They also have TS% numbers of .584 (Monk) and .575 (Fox), unless you expect Monk's efficiency to improve without the presence of Fox then it's not like Monk is all that more an efficient scorer either.
And I am a huge fan of Malik but rolling with him as your full time starting guard does not make us any better. I will die on the hill that he should be the first player off the bench, truly don't understand needing to start him when he plays 30 minutes anyway and closes games.
In my opinion, our biggest issue is lack of depth in the front court. You have Keon and Huerter that are solid off the bench but no one else that can reliably impact the guys backing up Sabonis and the forwards. Desperately need to find some help there in the trade market.
Tonight in particular it also didn't help that Derozan had a pretty awful game. Bad shooting night, was getting abused on defense and a lot of instances tonight where he was just ball watching instead of pursuing rebounds or loose balls.

I don't know about gutless, I thought they fought pretty hard but were beaten by a much better team. DeRosen looked lost out there and that is proving to be a bad trade

They gave up rebounding to a weak rebounding team, lost most 50/50 balls and had a bad 2nd half.

Ya no other way to dice it.
Fox looked out of control. I actually thought he did a good job getting mid range but he couldn't buy a bucket.
Huerter just provides zero value outside his shot
Keegan looked like a sad lost puppy offensively most of the game
Derozan shot is flat, defense is bad, effort is lacking
Sabonis is just not big enough to control a paint while playing with 4 shooting guards
Consistently the only guys I'm happy with are Keon, Isaac, and Malik. The only guys who consistently play with heart and don't look like they've given up.
This team needs size.

Better back up bigs might help, but its kind to think that would fix the core of what is happening
