If they trade all their injured players for Chris Middleton will this one count? I'm actually feeling pretty bad for Magic fans, the injury bug is rough.

INJURY REPORT:

BOS: Scheierman and two-ways are OUT, Hauser is QUESTIONABLE.
ORL: Banchero and the Wagners are OUT, Suggs and Harris are QUESTIONABLE.

TCOB. But don't forget to have fun.

MILESTONE WATCH: If Tatum scores 398 points and grabs 89 rebounds in this game, he will join Lebron James, Bob McAdoo, and Wilt Chamberlain as the only four players in NBA history with 13,000 points and 4,000 rebounds before the age 27.

Rooting for him. He does that, we likely win this game too.

If you were wondering about where this Celtics era on the road ranks in franchise history...wait, you weren't?
No sweat, I was...

CELTICS ON THE ROAD
Larry Bird Era (1979-92) - 276-234 (.541)
Bill Russell Era (1956-69) - 269-187 (.590)
Jayson Tatum Era (2017-24) - 172-118 (.593)

I have a similar banger of a stat tidbit. But have to wait 8 more games to post it.

Wilt stats are always so amazing, and this one is too when put in context.

Tatum and LeBron were 19 in their rookie seasons. Wilt was 23. Wilt achieved those numbers in half the time.

In those four seasons before age 27, Wilt averaged 42.8 points and over 26 rebounds. In other words, Tatum's game the other night against the Bulls was an everyday thing for young Wilt.

I really like this young orlando team and think that if they had health this season that they would be in the top 3-4 in the east as far as team talent and scariness to face.

1. Boston

2. Bucks
3. Orlando

4. None
5. NYK

Had ORL had their guys, this would be super competitive (prob still will be). Maybe I'm early but I had the magic as the 2nd best team in the east when they're fully healthy.

The Celtics have recalled Baylor Scheierman. He was already in Orlando playing in the G League showcase. Sam Hauser was listed as questionable heading into tonight, so he might be shooting insurance if Hauser can't go.

It occurs to me I already decided we won this game, considering the Magic injuries and everything. So it also occurs to me that I hope the C's don't go into the game with that same assumption haha. Magic have definitely not laid down and given up and will play hard tonight. Gotta get a handle on Suggs and Cole Anthony, and the Goga dude is a lot better than I realized.
Gonna miss KP but he's no Georges Niang.

Might as well. Maine doesn't play 'til Friday.
I'd like Peterson particularly to come up, when Hauser is OUT.

They adjusted for the possibility of Scheierman playing and stinking up the place.

Time for my annual complaint that my son is on the only middle school/travel team that has a practice during Christmas break. You guys will have to watch without me.

If I miss Scheierman's first ever and possibly only NBA 3 pointer( ever) I will be pissed.
