This one probably isn’t good either.
Toronto: Vincent, JHS, two of Hayes, Wood, and Reddish (Lakers choice), 2025 LAC 2nd, 2025 LAL 2nd, 2026 swap (top 2? 3? 4? protected, right to swap LAL with either Indy or Toronto first)
Toronto buys Temple and Bruno out. Or finds a third team I guess. LAL’s min guys are not that bad, maybe some team wants the spot minutes. And maybe some third team takes a flier on JHS for free. Don’t focus on that part.
They get two seconds and a swap that should convey assuming Indy gets healthy and LBJ ages any, LAL gets to put a bit of protection on it in case AD misses the season. They give Shead a bigger role this year to see what he has, helps the tank and Vincent can play some minutes.
LAL: Kelly Olynyk and Davion Mitchell
LAL gets a defensive guard and a floor spacing big for the bench without trading postLBJ picks. They have room under the second apron to sign some free agent guard/wing.

Kelly O is not good. He has negative value right now.

Still rounding into form from a back injury. Shooting well from 3 so far in small samples admittedly. Plenty of teams' fans would offer 2nds and expiring for him

I'm a little skeptical tbh.

Jarret Allen isn’t winning you anything. Garland won’t show up in the playoffs. Mobley is a glorified dunk man. Mitchell has some experience but is a liability on defense. To me, the Cavs are a treadmill team.

I am too
It's possible Olynyk will move because backup Cs are often a hot commodity at the TDL, but with Olynyk owed $13M next year, I'd be happy if we could get positive value for him. I pretty much expect him to be at the Raptors next training camp,
In a no-win argument, the first poster to Let It Go will at least retain some peace of mind

Re: Kelly and Mitchell to LAL?
I'd take the OP
A few comments
- I tried the trade in spotrac, and TOR also ends up with a TPE equal to Olynyk's salary because they have some TPEs they can use to receive Vincent and JHS
- I don't really want more SRPs in 2025 because TOR already has a half dozen similar talents under contract next year, but I'd take them and assume they can be traded for later SRPs
- Bruno is not guaranteed, and will probably be cut before Jan 10 guarantee date, leaving an open roster spot
- TOR ends up at least $8M under the luxury tax line. I'd like to make it a bigger trade by packaging a couple of the lower paid players for LAL for a larger, unwanted contract, and maybe pick up another SRP, but that's a minor quibble

I think the expiring is becoming a tougher ask. There aren't that many out there and most competitive teams are going to be reluctant to stay over the apron for a guy who it will be difficult to keep on the floor in the playoffs.
