Jaden Ivey Stretchered Off Floor With Lower Left Leg Injury

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Jan 2, 2025 2:41 am

Jaden Ivey sustained what appeared to be a severe injury to his left lower leg in the fourth quarter of the Detroit Pistons' eventual win over the Orlando Magic.

Cole Anthony slipped and fell as he and Ivey went for the ball. Anthony's momentum carried him into Ivey's planted leg, knocking Ivey to the floor. Members of the training staff held up towels to block the crowd's view of the injury and players from both teams formed a circle around him. Ivey was loaded onto a stretch after a lengthy delay.

Players from both teams consoled both Ivey and Anthony after the incident.

Cole didn't "slip and fall". He dove head first into ivey's leg trying to go for a loose ball. I'm sure he didn't mean to injure him, but it was a really dangerous play.

It’s called hustle. We don’t see much of it anymore. Yes, it’s unfortunate Ivey was hurt, but in the heat of real competition, these things happen.

No, that's not "hustle". It was reckless. There is a huge difference between diving for a ball rolling out of bounds and diving directly into a guys legs.

How can you say no one ever dives for someone’s legs? This was a totally reckless play and he did just that! Lol
