Sac - Portland - Miami

Post#1 » by LightTheBeam » Fri Jan 3, 2025 6:45 pm

Kings out: Demar, Huerter, Colby Jones, top 8 protected 2027 Sac 1st
Kings in: Jimmy Butler

Heat out: Jimmy Butler, Highsmith
Heat in: Demar, Jerami Grant

Blazers out: Grant
Blazers in: Huerter, Highsmith, Colby Jones, protected 2027 Sac 1st

Why for Kings? Probably chasing money after a fading guy whose best days are behind him, but this team needs grit in the worst way. Jimmy brings that day 1. The defense improves dramatically overnight by incorporating Jimmy and Devin Carter into the rotation.
Fox - Keon - Butler - Keegan - Sabonis
Monk - Carter - Lyles

Why for Miami? Miami doesn't tank. They get two guys who can immediately make an impact. Herro has been on fire lately.
Herro - Demar - Robinson - Grant - Bam
Rozier - JJJ - Jovic - Ware

Blazers finally agree to sell Grant and get the 1st they've been wanting. They save 5 million this year, Highsmith should be an easy flip, or they can keep him as the 3rd forward behind Camara and Deni.

Easy pass for Miami.

The goal for Miami is cap space in 2026. This kills it. And for such a limited return. Yuck

Love it for POR. Can’t see MIA touching this.

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

Love this but I doubt the other teams go for it. Mostly Miami because they don’t want “bad money” back and Grant is absolutely that.
