Cam Thomas is the best player the Nets have.
The two Lakers players are worth no more than Sharpe alone.

Re: follow up lakers and nets
From what I hear, Nets want multiple FRP's for Cam ... I don't see Lakers doing that, they better off using them on Kessler getting a defensive young big, If they're going to use their FRP's and I want Kessler real bad. Edit Kessler just a tad better
And I don't see them trading Max, at least not this year - Unless It's In a packaged deal for someone like Fox etc.

Knecht is pretty decent. I don't think this is a good trade, but we reserve locks for the TRULY awful.

Re: follow up lakers and nets
Lakers FO loves Christie and he has been making decent strides. He's one of those guys with low to no value except his own team. Knecht is an older rookie but solid.
On the flip side, Nets fans seem to think Cam is a top five scorer the next two years, and Sharpe can start anywhere. While, realistically, Cam is a good rest of Year guy then will be overpaid.
Think it should be kept simple with expiring JAG(s) and a pair of seconds for Sharpe. If Nets valuation of Thomas is anywhere near the fans take, definitely won't be worth what is expected.
He does? Weird, BBRef has him playing a total of 16 playoff minutes in two seasons where he started a whole 6 games. While this season, his team is two games out of the play-in and six out of a playoff slot.

Lakers give up their 2 cheapest rotation players locked in for 3 years plus for 2 expiring players about to be expensive.

Is there another Cam Thomas in the league? Because the NETS' Cam Thomas ABSOLUTELY doesn't "start on a playoff team"... Sharpe would be useful, but I wouldn't give up Knecht for him.

Christie is one of the biggest reasons our season has turned around the last few weeks
Not trading him for this

Not so far he doesn't.

Laker fans are out of their minds, the Lakers would be clear winners from this trade.
Nets would never do it.

Have you watched us with Max?
Guy plays winning basketball. Why would we move him?
Hes on a great contract
Cam Thomas is the type of guard who will get targeted on defense in the playoffs vs top teams
Likely a better reg season guy than a playoff guy
Even if we wanted those 2 guys, we would be moving a 1st, not guys in our rotation

Trading Max for Cam Thomas would completely nullify the purpose of the DLo for DFS deal

Without commenting on the trade, Christie is showing signs of being a solid 3 & D player and is still only 21 years of age, and he's under contract for 3 more seasons after this one at only $8M per year (last year in a player option). I have a hard time believing that he would have low to no value for other teams.

Agreed. Why do Lakers fans do this in 2025? Please we are all humans. Let's be cooler. Kobe would not be happy with this either.

To be honest, I'm not sure what's more amusing. Your gross overvaluation of Day'Ron Sharpe's value or your demands for this thread to be locked. Both are reaches at best.

Same reason a handful of Nets' posters grossly overvalue Sharpe's value.

I mean, I don't see many teams lining up to pay value for a 4/32 guy that's just made strides recently with the final year being a player option. An expiring and a second, maybe two, is the most I could see being offered.
Not a knock on Max at all, him and Cam both have solid potential. They just are guys that are gonna be worth more to their respective teams than other squad.s
