If we are where i think where we are in our post-rebuild, then get Broome if he really is 6'10.

Punt or use as trade enticers the rest of the draft picks for a trade to help us.

I voted for draft as is. We have team options on four roster spots and they are all 3rd team spots. Waive Caleb and Harris and give their spots to two rookies.

No problem trading one if we can find the right player.

No problem picking both.

Current strategy would be to take highest upside player that falls to 15 (Queen, Saraf, Fears? I like Philon, but similar to AB IMO) . Draft Kam Jones or Broome with the Nuggets pick. When we start winning and our pick becomes worse again I fall back to my Kam Jones/ Broome draft. Two seniors with amazing numbers. Chance they are ready to play now.

I have 2nd round targets I like, but feels pointless to even mention. For where we pick I would probably take a shot on a guard, give me Sears, Xaivian Lee, or Ryan Nembhard.

IDK still early, depends on who declares and what picks we still have.

Do whatever you need to do to trade up for Kasparas Jakucionis and call it a day.

Im gonna be honest and optimistic. We are going to hit our stride now the guys are back and we will be picking in the early 20s with the DEN pick mid 20s.

If Broome falls, and his combine measurement is a legit 6'9 BAREFOOT, pick him. We have our backup PF/smallball C

If they make a trade for someone making more than Cole they will absolutely need to fill out their roster with picks so I doubt that. Especially if they extend said player at some point.

I figure the same.

In that scenario, if we combined our draft picks to move up, how high do you think we could go?

I'm thinking between pick 8-14. Depends on how the evaluation of the size of the tiers in the draft goes.

I'm also a fan of Broome, he's the kinda player if he was a freshman/soph he would be a top 6-7 pick. Could step in and be a backup big very soon

This is a very loaded draft. But still... pick 14 might be too ambitious.

Ehhh honestly? Broome was a transfer from morehead state right? He was an unknown as a freshman he only developed when he went to Auburn.

I only think we could get the middle lotto draft pick is if there's a team who really likes a player later in the draft, and the tiering.

I meant that if Broome was putting up these current stats as a Freshman/Sophomore he would go that high in this deep draft

I like this draft more for it's depth. I think after like pick 6 or 7 it really is going to be a toss-up with random good players coming from all over the 1st and even some in the early 2nd. I mean every draft is random like that, but I think this one is really depth based. I would want multiple shots in this draft as opposed to one mid to slightly high 1st round shot.

If a lot of the freshmen go back to school it could end up weaker for sure though. Strength right now is that there seem to be a lot of high upside freshmen potentially in it. That means some of them will drop, but could also cause some of the older guys to drop to teams with more immediate help needs.

I’m in the ‘trade one for help now and keep the second one for the cheap contract’ camp. The two seconds could get traded for some bench help too.

Draft another point guard … 18th,25th

Cut Jett Howard (bust)
and Cory Joseph (veteran min journeyman)

Unless they get a good deal that allows them to trade Anthony Black + picks

They draft ok overall but Magic have to make up for the failed 2023 draft.

Too soon to tell. I mean AB has shown more promise than what Suggs has shown their respective 2 years... and it was the 3rd year that Suggs showed us he belongs

people have no patience anymore, they want prospects to be the best version of themselves in their first few seasons....as if they don't remember how long JJ redick took.....how long AG took......how long Cole is taking right now....can't give up on these guys too early, dipo comes to mind.....that being said if a deal is there that significantly helps the team then we can look at that

Trade one in a package (hopefully with Cole +) at the trade deadline

Use the second frp...I would not be surprised if it was traded for a future frp, since we have two second year guys that play like rookies already. I'd prefer to use one of the picks but would certainly consider another move at the draft (maybe with WCJ attached). Since it'd be (hopefully) a pretty late pick, my preference would be a more NBA-ready type like TdS. Depending on what other moves are made, either a physical big or a legit ballhandler/playmaker at 1-3...someone who will likely contribute sooner and allow us to fill out the back of our rotation with budget guys that can give us something every year of their rookie deals - not just the last one before an extension.

This isn't a knock on choosing BPA and pure upside in the lottery - but that's not us anymore.
