Bradley Beal
1. Which teams do you think he would waive his NTC for?
2. Which of those teams would take him with 1-2 of the Suns picks and has the ability to salary match?

At this point I think he would waive his NTC for teams in a better situation and/or better living environment.
Magic - Good seeding, could use an upgrade at the 2.
Heat - Miami, no tax, winning environment
Lakers - because everyone wants to be a Laker
Clippers - LA is a good place to be, prefer big brother, but any will do.
Warriors - Klay Splash role
Knicks - a top team in the East + city
Celtics - because who doesn't want to be a Celtic
Mavericks - no tax, good talent, playing with passers/playmakers
Spurs - no tax. Play with Wemby.
longshot options:
Bulls - meh winning environment and if they trade for you it's not a win-now, but still an opportunity and a good city
Pistons - upcoming team. Cade is great. Good place to be a #2 option.

Re: Bradley Beal
I don’t see him ever waiving his NTC for anywhere.. He was a lot like Dame… Willing to be loyal to the team that drafted him, unless a window to chase a ring approached… So I don’t think he’d go somewhere where he can’t convince himself he’s THE piece, or A piece, they need to win it all.
I could however see him going to a few teams that have obvious windows, and if those windows closed, he’d be cool with leaving.
Off the top of the head:
- Lakers: Short window; can chase one with AD and Bron; if Lebron retired under his current contract, I could see him being open to another team.
- Bucks: Cool with Dame; if Giannis decided to leave, he’d probably be open to moving on after that
- Warriors: Splash Bros part 2 in Steph’s twilight. They may have to make a financial decision on Dray vs Kuminga to make it make sense though

to piggy back my own post.
I think the Bulls can be made to be attractive - but they would have to be going all-in.
trading their best player for Beal 1:1 ain't it and then moving Vuc makes you the #11 seed.
OTOH, trading for Beal and then trading other pieces for another lead option, say Cam Johnson and Turner (super unlikely, but just for argument sake) then I could see some merit to the idea.

I don’t think they would, but I still need that story to come out about Detroit

Well, if Durant leaves in 2026, and Booker requests a trade, he'll waive it. It'll be too late, but he'll waive it.

Memphis
Magic
GSW
Timberwolves
Spurs
Rockets
Pistons
These are the only teams where he might fit and are likely in playoffs with him.
Of those above teams only Rockets and Spurs have stars that they likely have to give a max to when Beal expires (lines up contracts nicely). Those teams are Spurs and Rockets.. maybe one of them takes Beal.
I think Beal is an upgrade over Green and Vassell.

If I were to guess and its purely guessing:
Lakers
Bucks
Wizards
Probably would also go to places like Boston, OKC, Cleveland, New York, Houston, but I don't have any of those as realistic possibilities and frankly my 3 might not be either.
It might not matter about the NTC because any team that takes him is going to want to unload some bad money of their own because the Suns don't have incentive to get them to take him otherwise and the messaging from Miami is they aren't taking any.
I'm guessing Butler doesn't make it to Phoenix at the deadline.

Why in the world would they do that?

This list feels about right.
IMO the biggest problem is the 2nd part. I'm skeptical that any team has the amount of large, bad contract(s) on the books to take Beal for minor incentive. And if they did then those contracts would look too bad for Miami to take.
In general I feel that the difference in value between Beal and a low-end acceptable Butler deal is greater than 3 late 1sts. That's what kills the Butler to Phoenix deal. Beal's NTC further complicates things but it's secondary to the fundamental value gap.

This another great example why franchises ought not to give players NTC. Especially phony stars like Beal.

Take Kuz, Poole, and throw in one of those 1sts.. I think WAS would gladly take him off their hands lol

If you include Kuz and Poole, Washington becomes the team owing the incentive. Now moving off of just one of them so you have offset a big chunk of the money? Yeah Washington should consider that for 1-3 of those firsts.

True but I don’t think they would be able to find a deal even if he didn’t have the NTC. He’s a top 50-ish player being paid like a perennial MVP candidate.

Wash doesn’t NEED Beal to tank for the next 1-2 years; they can do that on their own lol.
All 3 contracts run through 2027. Phoenix is in a competitive window. I would think Kuz or Poole would be easier to maneuver than Beals deal alone for PHX. Further, WAS is the only team in the league with a “sentimental” reason to take on Beals deal. As it stands, WAS can probably move Kuz alone for a deal expiring in 2026 and a 2nd or so; so if they took on Beals last year as well to give PHX slightly more flexibility in Durants window, I think a late 1st is a fair ask.

The problem is his price tag. 50 million is gonna weaken any team he joins. At least 3 salaries are going to need to go out to bring him into any of those teams. For the Bucks it is Portis, Pat Con, and Middleton. When healthy that is 2 rotation players and Pat Con (is he still in the rotation,) that you need to backfill with limited money. Weakening the rotation lowers playoff chances, especially if the higher earning players miss time in the playoffs (like last year.) This same problem exists in any Beal trade, and he will know it.

Re: Bradley Beal
My guess is that he goes back to the WIZARDS, I guess Beal would be fine with coming home... 2 movements..
1 Brogdon/Kuzma/Gil for Beal+FRP
2 Nurkic/Dunn+FRP for Valanciunas/Davis+ 2 SRP...
Valanciunas/Richards/Plumlee
KD/Kuzma/Oso
Royce/Allen
Booker/Brogdon
Tyus/Morris
The Suns become super deep, now they are 6.6 million... then they use the 2 SRP to get rid of the Davis/Gil money and save a total of + 10 million, which would be a fortune in taxes...
the WIZARDS obtain a defensive project and future assets
