Knicks - Pistons

Post#1 » by NYG » Fri Jan 31, 2025 2:57 am

Mitchell Robinson, Precious Achiuwa, Jericho Sims, and 2025 Top 10 Protected Wizards 1st for Isaiah Stewart and Malik Beasley

If Mitchell Robinson is going to be out, the Knicks need to upgrade from Achiuwa and Sims. Stewart would be a bully for the second unit down the stretch and in the playoffs, and Beasley is a legitimate bench guard. This would provide some much-needed overall depth for the Knicks.

The Pistons add an asset and a good defensive center when healthy in Robinson. Achiuwa and Sims provide some big man depth in the meantime, and the Pistons wouldn't touch their cap space, so they would have the chance to make follow-up deals for guard/wing depth.

Yeah, Detroit is trying to make the playoffs. Not going to make this move.

Is Jonas Valanciunas and Saddiq Bey for Mitchell Robinson, Jericho Sims and the pick closer?

My dishwasher runs really well when it’s not broken down.

Player availability is practically a new important stat in the NBA. Robinson hasn’t been too impressive with this stat

Detroit shouldn't be looking to downgrade, they should want a real shot to get to tournament.

That said, I'm guilty probably of overreacting to his latest nonsense, but I'd be looking for my Stewart exit ramp. I know the rim protection numbers touted here daily and all, but this guy isn't good enough to act like he does and I don't want my young core looking to this guy as a leader and I'm told he is the leader.

Ironically after Weaver was so focused on using spots for vets, we honestly need a guy like Horford on this roster to help guide the young guys. Or hire Sheed (teach Stewart to calm down (Sheed expressed his anger, but he wasn’t dirty. He intimated, but he wasn’t trying to attack anyone).

By no means am I saying Horford is on the level of Noel-Detroit and all those other guys we added with Weaver
