So who wants Demar?

Post#1 » by LightTheBeam » Fri Jan 31, 2025 5:10 am

With the convo from Demars last pod, sounds like he wanted to be here because Fox. So if Fox goes, is there any contender that can use Demar?

Nobody rational. He kills teams in so many ways that he's of limited value.

Probably the Lakers, then.

I like him with either Memphis or Minny. High character, good veteran guy that can score in the halfcourt at a high level. His defensive troubles are covered by the frontline defense from both teams.

Sure sounded like he'd want to go elsewhere if Fox goes. He's been pretty good this year, but also probably buy us a little respect back to send him somewhere he can compete. Also would allow us to put Keegan back to the 3.

Not asking for much, usable expiring would be nice, maybe 2nds, a place he could compete.

Heard Middleton for Demar floated on a podcast. Not a huge fan of that. But portis to sac, Middleton to a 3rd team, demar + more to milwaukee could work.

How about

Bucks send Pconn + Portis to sac for demar
Then Middleton + a pick to Portland for Grant

Lillard - Jackson - demar - giannis - lopez
Green - Trent - Prince - Grant

I think it's the Lakers. Doubt they send a 1st though. Maybe Rui, JHS, and both 2nds this year.

This works for Sac. Rui is young enough to join the sabonis/Keegan/Monk core.

Demar gets to go to LA and fight for a title.

I assume nobody wants him. It would be a pick attached to him. He's a few months away from being a large expiring.

Thankfully the GMs of those teams are way too insightful to trade for him. Demar would be a horrific fit with either team.

Dallas fan really trying to kill Memphis and Minnesota title hopes with one simple trick, trade for Demar.

I think the answer is the Clippers? It wouldn't hurt them to sacrifice Tucker/T.Mann/K.Brown + 2 SRP (which they have left) for DDR/Lenn.. Could the KINGS send that package to JAZZ for J.Collins? or the WOLVES for Randle...?

Demar isn’t going anywhere. He’s helped on/off the floor and the team can’t recoup the assets acquiring him cost the team

Been fine and the consummate vet in Sac

We don’t need a round of bashing him with the reputation stuff (it’s like Harrison Barnes all over again) - he’s been good since he’s left San Antonio. I wonder why Paul George was paid that much more when DeRozan is on a value contract last summer and as valuable as Jimmy now

DeMar has never suggested wanting out

DeMar can retire in Sac at this point

Great ideas but Milwaukee can’t aggregate salaries for Demar since they’re over the 2nd apron.

No idea why Demar getting hate..

But if SA trades for Fox, they can pretty easily take Demar with him. Keldon isn’t good.
