Revenge game. Timmy going to explode for 12 points tonight on 4/17 shooting.

Jokes aside, he was a solid presence of the Mavs. Very up and down production and flawed production, but he was a good pro!

Beef Stewart suspended.

Not a easy game. Cade is huge.

Cade's one of my favorite players in the NBA. I really enjoy the pace and intelligence that he plays the game, not to mention his leadership. Also helps that he's from Dallas and he's been vocal for a while about Dirk being his inspiration to play basketball.

With that being said, I hope the team clobbers him and the Pistons. We need the win and can't afford to drop lower in the standings.

Dinwiddie on defense vs a traffic pole. I mean, my bet would be almost on the traffic pole, seriously.

Sucks we couldn't capitalize on those amazing blocks my Gaff. Those b2b play blocks were insane.

It's pissing me off that they're back to ignoring Klay. It's insane how many times he's been open and ignored. Or they just send him to the corner to sit there. PJ literally never passes the ball to anyone that has an open shot. Dude needs to improve his passing awareness.

Braindead coach. You need instant offense and you leave Dinwiddie and Naji in the game instead of having Klay and Grimes there. Pistons entire offense is just hunting whoever is Spencer guarding.

Also in these last couple of games, for people who can't understand why Luka usually has ball in his hands so much, these games are a great example just how many dumb TO's Mavs have without him.

Jason Kidd has to do a better job coaching. You have to put guys in position to be successful. I like PJ's aggression but him taking care of the ball should be met with accountability. Overall, the system and execution with this team is not good. I'm sure guys constantly being out of the lineup and just the poor build of this team (without out a pure pg) has a lot to do with it...maybe even the personalities...but with all that being said, we're not getting the best out of our guys and that falls on coaching. I saw no spirit out there. Disappointing. If you cant take care of the ball the coach should put you on the bench, including your top guys. Wake up!

Note: I have also seen coaches in the past challenge their best players (in this case Kyrie) to change his game more to account for guys being out. This was common back in the day with Kobe and Phil Jackson. I do not see this happening. This team just doesn't have that fire and desire...alot of that falls on the coach holding guys accountable.

Dinwiddie, Grimes and Naji were all terrible. Grimes had his worst game of the season and of course it comes against in Detroit where for some reason he can never play well.

Klay was heavily involved in the 1st quarter and played well then he went to the bench and the team forgot he existed.

Don't understand why Kelly was playing meaningful minutes. Just play PJ or Omax at the 5.

Exum was very rusty but there were a few plays which reminded me of how he's a solid connective piece. His playmaking is important on a team with a lot of tunnel vision players. The fact that Kidd played him so much in his 1st game back, even when he was on a minutes restriction, clearly shows that he's on Kidd's fave list. Hopefully he can return to form.

I blame Kidd and the guy who's been out for more than a month, yet everytime you see him on the bench he's yucking it up laughing. Must be nice to get paid and not work

2nd half just felt so sloppy. Almost felt like one of those games when they know their star coming back for next game and expects him to fix everything, except he wont be back for that game

This team didn't play like they have lost multiple winnable games and need every win.

The more I think about it, the more it seems like the Finals run last season was a fluke.

A combination of favorable match ups in the palyoffs and a whole lot of luck. Being matched up with a real contender like Boston ends up in almost a 4-0 sweep.

Favourable matchups means beating 1st, 3rd and 4th team without home court advantage? They played against 4/5 best teams in Nba.

If Mavs want to win more games without Luka, Kyrie should have played a lot better and take some playmaking duties on. Unfortunately he couldn't do that. January was his worst month. His shooting % down and he was averaging only 4.4 assists. 4.4 assists and 2.6 TO is pretty bad. The worst part is that Mavs had pretty difficult schedule from now on, 8th the most difficult. And it's highly unlikely Luka can immediately start playing in great form after being out so long.

I see daoneandonly continuing to hate Luka, at least that's consistent. 7 years and counting.

Mavs beat 3 different opponents with different styles, withstood some improbable shooting barrages (McDaniels , Reid) while losing many close games on some improbable makes (Clippers game 4, Thunder game 4, Wolves game 4).
If anything, Mavs had bad luck in these PO except game 6 against the Thunder.

Dinwiddie runs a team is a disaster, i said it 3 months ago and i repeat it. But ehy someone here said that he won a game for us so it's ok. 1 game in 3months. Huge.

Grimes and Naji are mediocre players, 7th/8th guys.
Trade them if we can upgrade the roster.

PJ and Gaff amazing again.
Kyrie solid.

Klay was hot in first quarter and obviously he didn't take a single shoot in the second hahahahahaha
When your best shooter is your leader assist man too there is a big problem of coaching. And we have it.

Kidd is just a guy who stands on the side line, all his defenders are gone or disappeared.
No more excuses. He is bad. Plan and simple.

Luka come back soon please, last 2 months were the worst Mavs basketball period in 20 years probably.
I don't remember Mavs play so bad for so many games, our offense is putrid as well.

Return to Dallas Mavericks
