Springer worth a mid 1st is even more unlikely than what Dallas just did. Come on.

We already have good defensive guards (Grimes/Christie)...we need offense to compensate for the loss of last year's leading scorer

The Celtics probably end up paying someone to take Springer in a salary dump at the deadline and you have the Mavs surrendering a 1st to get him. Seems legit.

Yeah Springer, despite his recent chance and good play won’t net a first.
In this trade even netting a second is debatable?
