Ruben Amorim hasn\'t turned around Manchester United\'s season following his hiring in November with the team losing seven of his 13 Premier League matches in charge. Amorim accepted the job despite wanting to wait until summer and asked the board if they would accept the possibility performances could become even worse.
“It’s a little bit harder for me to cope with that [poorer results] than the board, because the board already knows [what might happen under him],\" said Amorim. \"I explained all the risks. Everything that has happened I explained to the board [before taking over], and they said the same thing: ‘We need to start now’ [him take the job].
“But I understand at this moment, with a lot of losses, especially at home, the environment is really hard, but I feel the support of the board, if you’re asking that. I’m not the slightest bit worried about that, it’s just the pain of losing that is the hardest thing to cope with.”
