Diana Taurasi has announced her retirement from basketball at the age of 42.
“I just didn’t have it in me,” Taurasi said of beginning her training ahead of another WNBA season. “That was pretty much when I knew it was time to walk away.”
Taurasi played her entire WNBA career with the Phoenix Mercury. Taurasi retires as the WNBA's all-time leading scorer.
“Mentally and physically, I’m just full,” said Taurasi. “That’s probably the best way I can describe it. I’m full and I’m happy.”
