RS 24/25 - Mavs vs Hornets (Thursd 8:30PM EST)
Huge game.
If PJ scores more than 0 points this is a W.
Also great for everyone's spirits that Dwight Powell is back!
The Hornets have been blown out a few times recently, but ironically they beat the Lakers in LA recently. Mavs really can't take any team lightly.
Over their last 10 games, finishing with a 7-3 record. They’ve had moments of strong play, including a stretch where their defense was among the league’s best, forcing turnovers and holding opponents to low shooting percentages, alongside efficient offensive performances with high field goal and three-point shooting.
However, their recent form has been shaky. Injuries have impacted their numbers—key players like LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller, and others are currently out, which likely explains the defensive and offensive dips in the last three games. Their offensive output has dropped significantly, averaging just 89.3 points in those losses, with shooting percentages likely much lower, though exact figures aren’t specified beyond the blowout margins. Overall, their numbers show a team capable of strong defense and efficient scoring when healthy, but currently vulnerable due to injuries and recent poor performances.

However, their recent form has been shaky, with struggles on both ends of the court, particularly in the last few games, where they’ve been outscored significantly. Injuries to key players like LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller have likely contributed to their defensive lapses and offensive drop-off, making them a team that can compete when healthy.

Charlotte can't win against anyone without Ball. This's the easiest game in Mavs remaining schedule.

Congratulations. We just beat the Hornets at home.
Something Luka failed to do two years ago. No doubt his fat azz is traded.
Mavs will win the championship. Nico is the executive of the year. Kidd is the coach of the year. Easy.

He's done with his 5. Next game will be Dinwiddie with a hot streak. After that, he's gonna fumble the next 5 games again.

Wonder if they'll do one for Luka and Maxi.

A win is a win but what an ugly game. Lamelo-less Charlotte is barely an NBA level team.
Amazing game by Moses, unfortunately, if I'm not wrong, that was his last game with the Mavs, we have no money left to sign him for the rest of the season.
And let's hope injuries will give a break to Dante, we badly need him on the court.

I think Hardy is throwing a tantrum because AD got his jersey number. He really sucks as of late.

Klay continues with impressive 3pt shooting, 42% for the month. And Brown a 10-day contract with incredible game was the biggest X-factor for me. Also, disrupted so many shots just by being there.
Nico is not smart so unfortunately Powell will still be on the roster and Brown will probably be cut.

BIG shot by Klay. And I thought he wasn't coming back in when he was still riding the bench with 2+ minutes left. Kyrie needed another weapon with him out there.
This was THE Moses Brown game. Man was a messiah. And I'm an absolute doffus when it comes to intricacies of contracts but it sucks if we can't retain him. Probably won't bother Kidd much though since we now have the great Dwight Powell back.

Re: RS 24/25 - Mavs vs Hornets (Thursd 8:30PM EST)
This team is more fun to watch without Luka. There is a lot more hustle, and we don't have to watch him whine for 48 minutes to the refs. My only complaint is that we didn't get a fair exchange for him because Anthony Davis is always injured.
