Common Theme Pairs Draft 2.0 - R1 - migya vs MadNess*

Post#1 » by durantbird » Wed Mar 12, 2025 3:35 pm

Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Once the writeups are posted, I will add a poll, and the team with the most votes after 24 hours will advance. EACH MANAGER SHOULD ALSO VOTE FOR THEIR OWN TEAM IN THE POLL - IF YOU FAIL TO DO THIS, YOU ARE SIMPLY GIVING AWAY A VOTE. If the votes are tied, we will decide the matchup via AI vote.

You are not required to state or explain your vote, but you are free to comment in the thread if you want to.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

87.9

Deron(38) / MJ(10)
MJ(28) / Mann(20)
KCP(38) / Horry(10)
Brand(38) / Horry(10)
Lopez(38) / Adams(10)

Matchups:
Deron v Stockton, MJ v Richmond, KCP v Brown, Brand v Kemp, Lopez v KG

It's very even everywhere except I've got MJ who will go off here, as Ness has noone to defend him. I've got good shooting around him, with Lopez, second in dpoy, spreading the floor helping MJ to attack the basket. Brand generates offense inside while shootine well also out to 18ft. KG is not much of a scorer, neither is Kemp and both won't be able to help defend much defending two shooters. Adams is a very solid big that defends well and matches up well with all his bigs, Horry is an allround player that shoots well and Mann shoots well also. Think MJ is too much to handle here and has the right layout to flourish.

Write up:

Jaylen Brown on MJ. He guarded Luka in the finals last year (year chosen) and did a pretty damn good job.

Other than that, I feel like we win every other match up.

Stockton > Deron
Richmond > KCP
Kemp > Brand
KG > Lopez

I don’t have a ton of time but you get the idea.

I believe our team also fits really well.

I like both teams but MadNESS 5 all star starting lineup and Kidd/Chandler chemistry off the bench is hard to beat.
