Nikola Vucevic for Jasuf Nurkic and the Pelicans 2nd round pick which should be about the 4th overall in the 2nd round.
Hornets try and improve to get to the playoffs next year. Bulls get draft capital for a player with only one year left after this one. It isn't a first round pick, but one of the top picks in the 2nd round is still decent.

Re: Bulls/Hornets Draft night deal
Bulls back away slowly for two reasons
They now have Zach Collins who will like the other 2 centers is an expiring next year. They also have Jalen Smith signed for years beyond. The Bulls have been playing much better since the trade deadline this year when Vuc has been out. They could find a 3rd center for a little money, be happy and use that $20M at another position.
2nd, they have basically a full roster of signed players for next year, they have their own lottery pick #8 or so back. Unless they can move several of their expiring contracts they've got no room on the roster for a 2nd round rookie so he'd end up in the G League all year while Nurkic makes $20M for sitting on the bench.there has to be a better deal for the Bulls.

Seems like realistic value unfortunately. Another example of CHI holding onto a player too long, they probably could've got more than a early 2nd at the deadline.

I don't think so or he would've been gone. They were in serious talks with GSW until Butler became available for them, just never closed the deal.
