Good for Coby! He plays hard and he's value for the money. I have had criticisms of his game sometimes, but I always have liked the young man. May more Player of the Week awards be coming.

6-6 since the break defense has risen to top 10 in the league

If they can somehow win a couple of play in games and fight in the 1st rd I might start to believe in these guys just add a few good pieces to them.

He's played really well and is moving and attacking like his hot streak self from last season.

The only way I'd trade him is if some team decides to pony up a top 10 pick.

Otherwise I'm more than happy to keep him, especially on his bargain basement contract for next season. He seems to play really well off Giddey and I do still see a path where he grows his game into a legit 25PPG scorer in the league.

Crazy that as soon as Coby & Zach were split up they both win EC player of the week.

He’s underpaid. He’ll be getting $20 million plus on his next contract.

Hats off to Coby. We've all been watching him from day 1 and he's done nothing but show hard work and resillience. From putting up a lot of shots as a rookie and featured as a future Bulls backcourt with Zach, failed PG experiment, degraded to 5th backup role (behind Zach, DeMar, Lonzo, AC) and almost lost his minutes to Ayo, MIP runner up last year, and finding new heights this year as a leader of this young team.

PoW may be a small feat (although even Zach never achieved it), but whatever he turns into, he deserves all the credits for the work that he puts in and for always being a positive energy on the court and in the locker room.

Congrats Coby White!

The biggest knock I've had on Coby heading into this season (beyond his defense) is that he has trouble getting off his shot in the paint and at the rim due to a lack of separation. Of late, he's gotten better using decisive driving and pushing off defenders to create that separation and it's been working. I really think his improvement has been tied to no longer focusing on facilitating and scoring at the same time...it's always been hard for him and he's clearly better at the latter.

Ability has never really been the question with Coby, he can have individual games or weeks where he can out up numbers like other max contract guards.

For Coby, it's all about consistency. Delivering the goods night after night.

If the shot isn't falling, attack the basket and get to the line (something he's been doing more lately).

Defense will try to take away parts of your game. You'll have off nights. How can you still be a positive contributor on those nights.

Coby does seem to put in the work. His handles being an obvious area where he's improved greatly.

Many people want to re-set the clock and start all over again on a guy like Dylan Harper, who we'll then watch for 6 years hoping he can develop the way Coby has/is.

Can Coby (and Giddey) be our backcourt of the future? There's certainly nights when both are playing well and the answer seems like a clear yes.

Both just need to do it more consistently.

IDK, to me both ability and physical stature have both been perennial issues for him. IMO, he hasn't shown the ability before to get separation for clean shots in the paint because he has short arms or isn't quick or crafty enough.

He's being given a shot to be the #1 option without having primary PG responsibilities now and, he has improved several aspects of his game, and, for at least this short stint, he is rising to the challenge.

Yeah I think his change of pace along with some improved strength has helped a lot.

Coby came into the league with one speed - and while he was fast, in terms of the NBA it wasn't anything too special.

Also for as good as Coby has been, his TS% since the LaVine trade is still below 60%.

Zach is at 64.5% for the season - which ranks 10th in the entire NBA

Has Coby been playing better? yes

Have the Bulls been winning? also yes

Is Coby playing at an all-star level? Still no

Good for him! Wish he'd do it consistently. As it stands, he seems to me very similar to JR Smith, minus the cancerous attitude. Just very up and down, I don't think any of us are surprised that he can sustain some awesome ball for...a week. Which is still a very good player.

Also, 27/7/4, 46% seems like pretty poor stats for a "player of the week", right? Like, guys are averaging better numbers than that over the course of a season. Something tells me LeBron put up larger stats than that in the past week. different conference, I guess. maybe it's a slow week.

JR Smith was a low BBIQ chucker, albeit a more skilled player. Not a great comparison.
