Lauri Markkanen returned to Salt Lake City on March 31 for an MRI of his left knee, which revealed patellofemoral chondrosis with associated subchondral edema, with no other structural damage.
Markkanen will be re-evaluated in 7-10 days after completing an off-court rehab program.
The Utah Jazz were recently fined $100,000 by the NBA after they ruled that Markkanen didn't play in games he was healthy enough to participate in. Markkanen and the Jazz signed a four-year, $220 million extension last offseason.
