PG Sixers: Bucks Roll (Eventually)

Post#1 » by MickeyDavis » Fri Apr 4, 2025 1:24 am

Playing down to the competition happens all time in the league, not just the Bucks, especially late in the season. But being down 17 in the first quarter takes it to a whole other level.

7 in double figures. Green back on track. Giannis was Giannis.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Really just focused on the whole 35/17/20 part.

But, most importantly, 10/11 FT

Wouldn't be surprised if that 20th assist is rescinded, but the old man is passing the hell out of the ball lately.

Kind of sad that we needed a transcendent Freak game to beat the Process.

Don't think that's at risk.

Made me go check the stats. That’s an insane stat line

gainnis passed Joe Johnson on the all time list. He's now at the point where every single player above him is a HOFer minus Demar (still don't know how you leave a guy with 25k points out of the HOF, though)

It's not how you start, it's how you finish.

Dairy was the lactose to get us going. But Giannis carried us from there. Put the team on his back. Part of me wishes he stayed in to hunt for the real 30/20/20. Jokic's was in an OT game. Those should carry asterisks.

Kyle started out Losema but he finished Kuzma. Not bad in the end. Hopefully he gets in better shape in that time off before the playoffs start.

This game got me thinking...
What would our team be like if 8 of our top 10 guys were out? Who would we even field?
And would we even be one tenth as succesful as this 76ers team?

Anyway, forgettable game, we played way down to the competition especially on the first quarter. Played better afterwards.
Still losing 10 point leads like nothing, when Giannis went to the bench was not helpful...

It's subjective, but that is close to one of the all time stat lines where you consider volume and efficiency.

We were wondering what was wrong with the offense all season, and the answer is Giannis is wasted as a roll man. Get the ball in his hands, and everyone eats.

Now let's get any big man back so we can occasionally grab a rebound. That's gotten embarrassing. A bunch of teams have a playable big on a 2 way contract, but Horst is our GM.

We'd be bad too, but we'd play harder. Hungry youngsters help teams look competitive, but they don't help you win much.

Save for a couple of misses around the rim I don't know if Giannis could do any better on the offensive end tonight? Was patient and was in total control.

We started so poorly and the game was "close" because we simply don't bring enough effort on the other end. I don't understand why this group of players don't care at all. We make boxing out and competing like they are the hardest things in the world to do. We would be a much more dangerous team if we cleaned up some small things.

Frustrated watching this bucks team at times but watching Giannis is never a disappointment his joy for playing is fun to watch. I wish they would get him an actual smart coach but for the rest of this year let’s see how this team is with Portis and Sims back and hopefully Dame too.

He made some bad passes as I was informed in the game thread :)

Things I was told recently

1: Giannis isn't a top tier distributor
2: AJ Green is probably only about a 39% 3 point shooter

Thanks to both for making me look less like the only crazy person

Again our rebounding is a real weakness. Even in the last two wins we've been outrebounded and can't stop the other team getting offensive boards and 2nd chance points. I thought we'd at least stem the problem tonight against a massively undermanned team, but no, we still keep making the same mistakes. Not even a ham substitution for Doc made a difference.
