------------------------------
BOS GETS: Isaiah Stewart
BOS GIVES: Jrue Holiday & #28
WHY FOR BOS? The Celtics shed $20.2 mil in payroll next year which gives them huge tax savings while at the same time still getting a productive player who will be 24 next year, is locked up for the next 3 years on a reasonable contract, and can help replace Horford when he ages out (allowing them to extend their window). Meanwhile, Holiday will be 35 years old at the start of next season.
PG - White/ Pritchard / Davison
SG - Brown / Scheierman
SF - Tatum / Hauser
PF - Stewart / Walsh
C - Porzingis / Tillman / Queta
------------------------------
DAL GETS: DeMar DeRozan
DAL GIVES: Daniel Gafford & Caleb Martin
WHY FOR DAL? The Mavs add another legit go-to scorer on the wing to go along with Irving and Davis. They’d still have a ton of size, length, and defense in the starting lineup with a frontcourt of Washington, Davis, & Lively (not to mention Marshall off the bench), but then they’d have the luxury of DeRozan leading the bench unit and providing steady offense for when Irving and/or Davis rest.
PG - Irving / Williams
SG - Thompson / Christie / Hardy
SF - Washington / DeRozan
PF - Davis / Marshall / Prosper
C - Lively / Powell
------------------------------
DET GETS: Malik Monk
DET GIVES: Isaiah Stewart
WHY FOR DET? The Pistons add another ballhandler, playmaker, scorer, and shooter to help Cunningham shoulder the load while also giving them some extra help while Ivey recovers from his injury.
PG - Ivey / Sasser
SG - Thompson / Monk
SF - Cunningham / Holland
PF - Harris / Fontecchio / Klintman
C - Duren
------------------------------
PHX GETS: Domantas Sabonis & Caleb Martin
PHX GIVES: Kevin Durant, #29, & 2026 PHX 1st (Top 4 Protected)
WHY FOR PHX? The Suns move on from the expiring Durant who will be 37 at the start of next season and recenter their roster around Booker (28) and Sabonis (28) going forward (who has 3 years left on his deal). Also, Sabonis can help with their lack of PG play as he's a great facilitator and a guy that can be a solid offensive hub. Not to mention that Beal comes off the books before Booker and Sabonis which gives the Suns a chance to add a max FA to pair with those two down the road.
PG - Beal/ Micic
SG - Booker / Allen
SF - O'Neale / Martin
PF - Dunn / Martin / Ighodaro
C - Sabonis / Richards
------------------------------
SAC GETS: Kevin Durant, Jrue Holiday, Daniel Gafford, #28, #29, & 2026 PHX 1st (Top 4 Protected)
SAC GIVES: Domantas Sabonis, DeMar DeRozan, & Malik Monk
WHY FOR SAC? The Kings do this to get better next year as Durant gives them a legit #1 option and Holiday gives them a real PG who can facilitate the offense. Gafford also gives them a solid replacement for Sabonis, and with Valanciunas already on the roster, the Kings can still have a solid 48 min C rotation between those two guys. This should also really improve the team's defense as the 3 guys they are bringing in are much better defensively than the 3 guys they are sending out. They also pick up 3 1st round picks which gives them 11 1st round picks over the next 7 drafts (2025-2031 drafts).
PG - Holiday / Carter
SG - LaVine / Ellis / Davis
SF - Murray
PF - Durant
C - Gafford / Valanciunas/ Jones

Ivey is fully recovered from his injury alread, he is getting in game shape.
We have too many guards (we can bring back Schroder - whom is arguably better than Monk, Beasley and THJr if we want, to go with Cade/Ivey/Sasser), and we don't have enough competent bigs.
Duren is a traffic cone on defense and he is unplayable (depending on the matchup) and he is getting worse on defense every season, BBPaul is great but he is too small, Fontecchio forgot how to shoot and he is 100% useless (he is a terrible defender because he is uncoordinated and his reaction time is really really really slow) he plays super hard and is a very good rebounder, he should be out of the league once his contract is done at the end of next season sadly, he seems like a cool guy.
All we got is Stewart (whom is very flawed) and Tobias, whom is not getting any younger.
So this makes 0 sense for Detroit.
Stewart is not a PF. This should be very clear by now. He is an energy big off the bench he plays great defense and he is terrible on offense, because he have terrible hands and he can't jump and he is unskilled.
He is the best rim protector in the league and he is equaly good (Sam Vecenie and Bryce Simon say he is even better) guarding in space. So he is a center.

The DET part can be modified or dropped entirely and another team/piece replace them.
Drop the pick protection on the ‘26 PHX pick coming to SAC. Too much risk of it being a free fall if Durant and Holiday finally age out and spend the season hurt. We would need (and will need anyway) two top lotto picks to replace all the talent that is going/aging out.

Durant will be 37, and we are not competing now for a title. The picks, aside form Phoenix's this year, don't move, and Malik gives up a lot of that capital anyhow. The team is trying to win and Domas is still the baseline for it for the next 5-7 years

PHX 2026 first is already traded (after swaps with WAS, MEM and ORL) to CHA.

Dallas says No ...
Dallas Is all about defense. Why would they want DD.

Malik Monk has the same role the returning Jaden Ivey will hopefully fill.
Trading our best defensive bigman for him feels counterintuitive.

I don't know if Dallas does this, but with Kyrie hurt(or maybe even left in free agency), they are going to need someone to help generate offense. It can't be Naji Marshall and Brandon Williams again lol.
And you can still be a really good defensive team with offensive players on it.

Sacramento stealing value here. Sabonis is very good, and the suns may have a modicum of interest, or they maybe won't considering he hasn't proved to be able to get a team beyond the first round.
And Phoenix already has very limited assets. People really need to come to terms with the fact that the Suns don't view KD as a negative value contract or bad asset. And obviously wouldn't be giving up picks just to trade him and help facilitate value to other teams. And the suns don't need Caleb Martin as they already have Cody Martin. And Cody Martin is in a better contract for the suns interests.
The suns pass on this premise rather quickly. And for future reference, since the ongoing trend seems to be lowballing Phoenix for KD and giving them redundant positional players poor fitting players they obviously wouldn't have interest in, unwanted contracts, and mediocre picks.
Or worse having them giving up the very last assets they have while also giving up the best player in these trades, just to facilitate other teams stealing value in the process. Any KD trades that Phoenix will actually consider will return some combination of young athletic players with Upside potential, that can grow as part of our core around Booker.
Expiring contracts or quality fillers (not just other teams underperforming long term deals they'll have to eat), and quality picks. Notbend of the first round or random 2nds just to accommodate other teams interests.
