Get Magic a PG
My POV is that of of the top priorities for Magic should be getting a facilitator. Suggs is best as a SG, Wagner and Banchero can be the offensive hub / facilitator, but they might unlock higher offensive ceiling with a more natural PG.
Option 1: with the Bulls
KCP and Jett Howard <-> Ayo Dosunmu and Lonzo Ball
Bull let White handle PG duties, while getting veteran presence and a wing potential instead of Ayo.
Ayo and Lonzo can both facilitate, while Ayo would start.
Option 2: with the Lakers
Bitadze and Cory Joseph <-> Gabe Vincent
Vincent looks like he's having a bounce back after some disappointing period, and if he keep up, he can be a good addition for the Magic.
Lakers need a center more than they need Vincent, Goga is a stable center option.
Other ideas?

Re: Get Magic a PG
I really like option #1
-Ayo is good enough to start for ORL and steady & reliable
-IF Ball is healthy, he’s pretty much perfect for ORL
-even if Ball isn’t, ORL gets off a LOT of KCP & Jett guaranteed salary that was ill-advised
*I also really like KCPs fit with Coby & Giddey…I think his shooting will (Magically?) return with Giddey’s playmaking.

I don’t see why Chicago would consider option 1 up there. They’re probably owed some solid value.

Is Dillingham too young? Super-quick, great scorer, good passer, and ORL’s defense can compensate for his size?

Ew, Suggs ain’t worth all three of those pieces
Probably take out Rui and put in salary filler + a swap?

Suggs is a 23-year-old perennial DPOY candidate...and the trade issue is parting ways with Rui Hachimura?KuzControl wrote:Astaluego wrote:A.Reaves/Hachimura/Knecht for Suggs..

Yes because it kills our already non-existent depth completely
I’d prefer to add a first rather than giving up two starters and a decent rookie

None of those are PGs.

Re: Get Magic a PG
I kind of like what I've seen from Schroder in the Knicks series. He is a bit of a shoot-first PG, but so are Sexton, Simons, and to a lesser extent, Jerome. I think you clear enough space to offer Tyrus Jones some money (unless they can get Jerome to leave for the MLE). Assuming the former is the viable option, then trade for Sexton or Simons. They're really two guards short of a three guard rotation.

Re: Get Magic a PG
Ty Jerome is the answer. Not sure how the magic entice him with the MLE though. The main selling point would be being the starting PG for a very solid playoff team. Would he leave Cleveland’s bench for a chance to run his own show? I’ve read that Brooklyn is the only realistic option for him to make more money.

Sexton would be much cheaper. He’s expiring, so you can probably get him for #16 + #47 + Jett Howard. Maybe don’t even need #47.

I don't think Orlando would go after something as unproven as Dillingham as they already have Black who has shown more, albeit with an additional year in the NBA.
Adding a Point Guard of a desirable level of play is always a daunting task. I expect Orlando to strongly prefer and highly value the core of Wagner/Banchero/Suggs and starting with them off the table is a straight-forward, though maybe not correct, venture.
Orlando Magic Assets
1sts: #16, #25, 2026 SWAP (Lesser of PHX/WSH), All Future 1sts
2nds: #46, #57, 10 2nds (2026-2031)
Rookie Scale Players: Anthony Black, Jett Howard, Tristan Da Silva
Then there are a few salaries which to me are interesting, notably Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Wendell Carter Jr, Goga Bitadze and Johnathan Isaac, all of whom I see as players who are rotation level to varying degrees in the post-season.
Orlando is going to be mindful of their salary in 2026-2027 and beyond. Franz and Paolo will both be at 25% Max with Paolo having an outside shot at 30% while Suggs is on ~20% but it is declining year-to-year. The reality is Orlando's cap outlook is good, and they can conceivably add a player of any salary.
Immanuel Quickley is the first player I would target if I were Orlando. Quickley's skill-set screams complimentary and he excelled in a supporting and connecting role in New York playing off of Julius Randle, and I see Wagner/Paolo as similar offensive-engines where Quickley can be a strong and impactful compliment.
Quickley for KCP, Bitadze and #25
-Toronto can draft one of the shot-creators with their Top 10 pick while smartly assessing KCP's career 3P% and a regression to the mean
-Orlando fills in a major need with a cost-controlled, proven connector at Point Guard who excelled in a role he will be filling in Orlando
Collin Sexton is another notable point guard. More of a "combo-guard" but built like a tank and coming off 3 consecutive 39%+ 3P shooting seasons. Again, like Quickley, a Point Guard who can make plays but primarily would play off the gravity of Paolo-Wagner.
Sexton for Anthony, Howard, #25
-Utah takes a flier Howard and a late 1st
-Orlando adds an extension-eligible guard who can shoot incredibly well, can attack off the dribble, isn't a defensive liability
Austin Reaves provides an offensive spark neither Sexton nor Quickley can. Defensively, the worst of the 5 but in the nicest say possible, Austin Reaves competes defensively. Reaves is coming off a career year and his age 26 season, making him an ideal fit next to the Magic's core offensively.
Reaves for Bitadze, 2026 1st (Top 4 protected with ability to upgrade to WSH/PHX 1st, Unprotected in 2027), Future 1st Swap, #46
-Lakers get a juicy 1st' and a good and underrated center in order to make a larger deal or multiple deals as a follow-up
-Orlando adds a long-term piece in Reaves with all-star potential

Re: Get Magic a PG
The Bulls pass very quickly on the #1 option.Knowing they don't really need Ayo. Trading two guards for two guards isn't a great plan
Howard is full of promise that is rarely seen and probably not any more court time than he's had in ORL.
KCP can score, I don't know does he play the 2 or 3 for the Bulls?
Being honest Lonzo Ball brings leadership and a lot more off the court than KCP ever will White has been the PG at times but not the floor/team leader and that's what kills this deal
The real trade to be made is Vucevic and what that #21M return is dictates the next deals.
after this and without Vuc but with the #12 pick the Bulls have
Giddey maybe Tre Jones
White Huerter maybe #12
Collins Smith
Buzellis Phillips
KCP Williams

As an Utah fan I think we’d do it for #16 pretty easily and I think he’d be awesome for ORL. He just doesn’t fit our timeline at all.

Re: Get Magic a PG
I think there are some fundamental issues with the Magic roster
(1) is there enough shooting between Paulo/Franz long term to play them with a rim protector
(2) how does Jalen Suggs fit in here

a) we have no interest in KCP given our abundance of SGs already. Toronto also wants to win next year so i dont see us downgrading like this. IQ is also a great fit next to Ingram/Barnes.
b) When has Sexton not been a defensive liability?
c) Cant see lakers getting worse now and risk Doncic leaving
