We need a 15-20 pts performance from Podz or Moody. If it is not happening we will lose the game. It comes down to the role player showing up at the biggest moment of their career while I expect Rockets bear hugging CUrry all game

Still a chance but this team just seems to lack the killer instinct. They really blew it right in the first quarter of game 5 when they were not ready to play. They punted that game because they thought they would easily win at home the next game and now they're up against the ropes — exactly where they had the Rockets after game 4.

Everyone saying how Kuminga won't help them, well have you seen how awful and low-energy everyone else is? It can hardly be any worse. Really disappointed in GP2's performance last game, the supposed defensive specialist let the slow, 6-foot-high Vanvleet torch him over and over while missing many shots himself when he was supposed to be a reliable outlet for Steph. If they throw the Adams, Sengun, Smith front line at us again, I don't know that we have an answer for it.

this. like everyone could see in the nuggets-clippers game 7.
role players need to show up this one, someone with the scoring, someone with the D and hustle plays, someone with the energy. role players must bring on something impactful in this game. another game like game 5 and 6 cannot be tollerated.

that quarter was brutal, but they had too many slow starts regardless of game 5. it looks like they cannot get it going from the get go or get an early lead with the exception of game 4, that was the only game they started hot (although even there they could not get great separation and the lead was reabsorbed pretty fast). they need to get out the gates swinging and hitting shots, enough of the slow starts and early trailing. they have to put pressure on them straight away.

We need a legendary game 7 from Steph to stand a chance here.

Dubs need for someone (or two) other than Steph to shoot well from outside in Game 7. Jimmy needs to find his mid range if they won't let him score at the rim -- his three just isn't consistent enough. Draymond needs to hit the corner three if he's open -- he did that pretty well all year. Moody, Podz, Buddy, Post -- at least one of them needs to catch fire for one game. Dubs won rings when Klay matched Steph on threes. Somebody needs to step up.

Turns out, the Dubs really need someone like Ty Jerome. Who knew?

As for Houston -- they need to suck for one game. In 2023, the Dubs lost to the Lakers because Austin Reeves and Lonnie Walker caught fire. Can't let that happen with Houston's role players. Beyond that, FVV needs to return to his former mediocre shooting self. Can someone on the Dubs get him off balance?

it's not christmas every other game 7 on the road. he's already had a legendary game 7 on the road vs SAC 2 years ago, this time we need a leading performance from playoff jimmy (and a decent game from the role players ofc. if they play as bad as they did in the last 2 games dubs are screwed). also because that zone they couldn't figure out last game it needs to be attacked in the lines between the 3 points line and the middle where adams stays, basically the midrange. those are the "soft" spots you have to exploit. and who' can do that better than jimmy? cannot live and die by the 3, it's a coin toss, it might go your way or backfire on you. butler needs to be aggressive and take over the game from the get go, allowing steph to arrive in the fourth quarte with enough energy to close them out. and we need to give them a taste of their own medicine: turn this game 7 into a dog fight, go all out on defense to keep the game below 100 points even if this means playing looney and TJD at the C spot instead of a guard, slow down the pace and on offense go heavy to jimmy and then steph. it's a game you need to score not necessarily outshoot them from deep. scoring before shooting.

The team did get a replacement for Ty Jerome. His name is Pat Spencer.

Compared to the Nuggets and Wolves who made it out of the first round, our supporting cast is the worst and they may be good at times but are very inconsistent. They play great, we win this. They suck, we go home. It's as simple as that.

I HATE what I'm hearing from Kerr. He's talking about playing JK early, getting Looney more minutes. First, JK has played and been bad. And yes, I actually agree with Looney playing more (and Post playing much less) but why are you changing things up AGAIN? Why can't you figure your best lineups and go with it? I saw a stat for this series that the Rockets have started like 51 different lineups and the Warriors have started 88 different lineups.

Kerr is always tinkering. And when he finds something that works? He still won't stick with it.

How can anyone have a good feeling here? If Warriors manage to win this game will be by the skin of their teeth -- barely.

I wouldn't, however, be surprised by a Houston blow-out.

I hope Kerr won’t play Kuminga. He isn’t ready and this is panic move by Kerr. Or Kerr is saving his ass now? Every one knows that Kyminga won’t help now, more likely will hurt this team… Does he afraid Lacob?

I really hope we don’t see the gp2/jb/dray lineups. The rockets have just let anyone of those 3 shoot.

I know Jimmy has had some legendary performances but the rockets are letting Jimmy attack 1v1 and letting him shoot any 3 he wants. If Jimmy can make them pay for that then great. But if Steph goes off all hell breaks loose and then the rockets will panic opening up even more shots for everyone else. No one is going to blame Jimmy if we lose they’re going to blame Steph no matter what the context is even though the entire defense is geared to not let Steph get shots up. Steph needs to be aggressive early and often in this game.

There's a pretty simple and obvious reason why he keeps tinkering - because the "others" are super inconsistent. But keep blaming Kerr instead of the inconsistent players if that helps.

OK, this time GP went for the famed Houston gas station sushi.

Why does it feel like this Warriors team has to make everything as difficult as possible? A few weeks ago they had chances to be the 5, 4, or even 3 seed and they just couldn't pull out wins when they needed them, even against really bad teams like SA without Wemby.

Well anyway, not much else to be said. Put up or shut up. Go big or go home. Etc.

Dubs look mentally defeated the last two games. Steph can’t find another gear and Draymond has gone from hunter to hunted in terms of being the antagonist. I just don’t think they have enough gas in the tank to finish this off. It’s a shame because this Rockets team is super beatable.
