Matchup
- Defensive assignments: Stockton vs Nash, Allen vs EJ, KD vs Rasheed, Kirilenko vs Kawhi, Mutombo vs Gasol.
- Defensively, Kirilenko is about as ideal a matchup as you can hope for against Kawhi. Beyond that, we can rotate elite defenders like Pippen, Durant, and even Russell onto him if needed. Stockton and Pippen serve as our point-of-attack defenders, both more than capable of disrupting Nash’s rhythm and limiting his ability to orchestrate the offense.
- Uber has strong defenders, but if we can contain Kawhi and Nash—which we’re equipped to do—their offensive creation becomes much more limited.
- Our fit is seamless: Stockton runs the offense with little resistance from Nash, while Allen and Durant provide elite spacing and on-ball creation. Kirilenko slides in perfectly as a versatile and efficient fourth option.
- Depth is a clear advantage. Our starting five consists of All-Star caliber players across the board, and then we bring Pippen and Holmgren off the bench? Pretty wild in my eyes. On defense, a core rotation of Kirilenko, Mutombo, Pippen, and Holmgren creates a suffocating presence that will make opponents wish they’d never stepped on the floor.
