Jaylen Brown Played Through Partially Torn Meniscus At End Of Season

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat May 17, 2025 9:24 pm

Boston Celtics All-Star Jaylen Brown played through a partially torn right meniscus to end the season. Brown began receiving injections in his right knee in March and played until Boston's season ended in Game 6 of the second round.

Brown will now be reevaluated this week to see if surgery is necessary.

Despite playing through pain, Brown wouldn't use the injury as an excuse. In the aftermath of the Celtics loss, Brown told reporters he was proud of the way the team fought in the playoffs.

"I don't make excuses," Brown said. "Obviously, it's tough the way we went out like tonight, but the way we finished the year, personally, the way I finished the year, persevering through some physical stuff that I was battling through, I'm proud of our group."

This team has been super durable and they were very banged up in this series but Horford is past it...KP is unreliable their payroll is sky high and tatum is out all next season.. They should tank for a high draft pick and try to offload Jrue and KP and get under the luxury tax to build for 2027 shot at the title.. I would keep white Brown and Tatum plus a couple of the bench guys on good contracts.. Being under the luxury tax and tanking this season would set them up to make a trade and go back into the luxury tax in the 2027 season so you could have a run at the title again..

They cannot tank. Even without half their roster, they would still be a .500 team in the east.
One day Leon Powe and I were cracking up on Eddie House’s tattoo.…[Garnett] was like, ‘C’mon, Scal, it’s time to rock! What the ‘F’ are you doing?’ And I was like, ‘You know what? You’re right. It is time to rock.’ – Brian Scalabrine

Tell that to the Sixers.

Whether they tank or not, Silver is going to reward them big time.
