Portland - Philadelphia - OKC

Post#1 » by Godaddycurse » Sun Jun 1, 2025 12:29 am

Once again borrowing/expanding from Reggieknicks' idea... Sounded like people dont think Deni is worth very much to Philly... so why not pull in OKC who really values Deni?

OKC trade: Topic, 15, PHI 2026 top 4 protected 1st, DEN 2027 + 2029 top 5 protected 1st
OKC receive: Deni

Portland trade: Deni, 11
Portland receive: 3, 15

Philly trade: 3
Philly receive: Topic, 11, PHI 2026 top 4 protected 1st, DEN 2027 + 2029 top 5 protected 1st

Why for OKC: overpay to get even better and build a dynasty
Why for Portland: get a high ceiling prospect
why for Philly: trade down to get own potential lotto pick back in 2026 and roll forward some assets. lets them tank and give Embiid another year to heal

Drop the 2029 Denver and OKC would do the deal.

Less of an overpay then so the deal might break down.

I'm not looking to get rid of Deni. I don't follow college ball so i dunno what #3 might bring. Maybe because I don't wanna trade Deni; I just don't like this trade for Portland. It would yake more than 2 picks to get me on board. Philly gets 4 picks for the #3? That seems like a bit much.

We can niggle on value a bit but I like the bones of this for everyone involved.

100%. If OKC is willing to give Topic and 4 1sts (some with some decent potential), AND Portland gets to keep #11, they take that over adding the 11 to get #3 in this draft.

Absolutely correct. And does so without a second thought

The #3 pick in this draft isn't worth THAT much
