Who wins a 7 game series? Nuggets or Pacers

Reason I'm asking is because of the Nuggets and Thunder series going 7...

Not that it should entirely be a factor but generally speaking if two teams go at least 6 they are likely to be in the same realm of talent...coaching...ect

Also fully healthy on both sides.

I like the Pacers chances. I feel they match up pretty well with Denver.

Jokic would get his for sure, but I don't think he wants to run like the Pacers run. We saw the Pacers wear out the other teams stars all playoffs, from Giannis, to Mitchell, to Brunson, and I think it would be quite easy to make an argument all those guys are in better shape than Jokic.

It would be a super close series and obviously I think Denver is capable of winning as well, it could go either way, but I think the Pacers speed and relentlessness would give them the upper hand.

Western teams that i think can beat the pacers in a 7 game series.

Mind you, regular season is different from the playoffs, but the Pacers went 1-1 against Denver and 2-0 against both the Wolves and Clippers this season.

The Pacers record vs the West would have gotten them the #2 seed percentage wise.

Not to say you're wrong, who knows, anything could happen, but heard a lot of people make the same statements about the Bucks, Cavs, and Knicks as well.

I think people just tend to overlook the Pacers as the media ignored them all season.

I think I'd actually lean towards the Pacers in this one. Pacers in 6 or 7.
Indiana matches up well against Denver. Nuggets starting 5 is one of the best in the league, but the Pacers has one of the best bench, depth in the league. Much deeper team than Denver.
Pacers are young as well, but more playoff experienced than OKC. Very disciplined team, too.
Pacers plays faster. Probably wears Denver out.
Also, Pacers with huge advantage with the coaching. Carlisle (experienced, championship, etc) vs Nuggets interim /new coach (Adelman). I'd take Carlisle.
Indiana isn't as talented as OKC, but they play smarter, less brain farts. Well coached team..

Seems clear now the formula vs Jokic is to put an athletic wing on him when he's playing point guard? ie Caruso. I assume Siakam would be guarding Jokic a lot.

The rest of the Nuggets are really injured and streaky.

Pacers would absolutely eviscerate Denver's defense, Indiana wins easy. They'd actually do a better job than OKC did of making Jokic's job hard, and I still think OKC is a bad matchup for them unless the refereeing changes

I've been banging on the drum that Denver vs OKC was the real finals, so I'm definitely going with Denver. I think Denver is a better team than the Knicks and they know how to execute. I don't think they have the tools to stop Jokic, Murray and Gordon.

That being said, I do give Indiana their flowers and I think it goes to game 6 at least.

yickes. if it was that easy everybody would do it.

what okc did differently was suffocating the entry pass, swarming once the entry pass is out and denying the passing lanes. thunder gave up defending the corner threes because of that, not enough teams have the sheer speed to give up that and recover to a loooong close out.

alex caruso (who is one of the best defensive players in the league) was one of a few players that the okc found success matching on jokic including 3rd string backup c jaylin williams (which is another low center of gravity player). the key was not the player, but the scheme.

you guys really undersell what the thunder has been able to accomplish. jokic is one of the best if not the best offensive player ever.

probably a 50-50 shootout. no one can do anything vs each other's offense. nuggets murder pacers on the boards. pacers murders nuggets in motion offense.

Pacers in 5. Nuggets don't play defense and can't protect the ball. Nuggets don't even get past the Wolves.

This is a very weird hypothetical just because a series has gone 7 games, and it wasn't even the WCF to boot.

"Who would win in a 7 games series? 2008 Hawks or 2008 Lakers? Reason I'm asking is Hawks taking the Celtics to 7 games..."

agreed but this is just about who would guard him from the Pacers.

Don't you know? The real Finals has happened in the second round of the WCF for two years now. Wolves didn't make the Finals last year you say? Doesn't matter. :lol:

The Pacers played the Nuggets towards the end of the season, Jokic went off, and the Pacers still won. If you go back and watch that game, Jokic was GASSED by the end of it. Again, same strategy they used against Giannis, Mitchell, and Brunson.
